====Failure of the Terminid Control System====
On April 29th, Operation Legitimate Undertaking was interrupted by massive Terminid outbreaks in the Umlaut sector, including on Turing. A malfunction in the TCS allowed the bugs to reproduce at a much higher rate, turning the neighboring planet [[Meridia]] into a Supercolony. The Helldivers were quickly deployed to deactivate the TCS throughout the Umlaut Sector. On May 3rd, the TCS on Turing was shut down, preventing it from meeting the same tragic fate as Meridia. However, its close proximity to the Supercolony left it at constant risk of assault.
