Sirius is one of the four planets that reside within the Xi Tauri Sector.

Sirius was a peaceful frontier colony of Super Earth for most of its recorded history. Having been discovered some time during the First Galactic War, its distance from Super Earth meant that it wouldn't be colonized until many decades passed after the end of the war, well into the Great Democratization. This late start ultimately meant that the little colonists Sirius had, alongside the harsh conditions of the planet, meant that it would have to concentrate its population into small pockets of urbanized settlements across its surface.
However, this peaceful history would be suddenly and violently interrupted by a resurgent foe of humanity. The 
Illuminate, thought extinct after the First Galactic War, had returned and were now intent on robbing the citizens of these remote settlements in order to feed their odious cause. On January 1st, 2185, the Illuminate sent a raiding force onto Sirius, shortly after their disastrous defeat at RD-4. The Helldivers, now having no orders, would deploy onto Sirius immediately, still committed to inflicting as many defeats as possible onto this despicable alien invader.
