The Ship Master is the chief of staff aboard the Super Destroyer. As an officer of the S.E.A.F. Navy, she is in charge of coordinating the Super Destroyer's crew during missions in order to deploy all the stratagems that the Helldivers request during deployment.

Between deployments, the Ship Master monitors the crew's behavior and well-being, making sure that the Super Destroyer is well maintained and supplied and making sure that the crew is efficient and remains with high morale.

According to the Helldiver Contract of Employment, the Ship Master is also directly responsible for transferring command of the Super Destroyer to the next eligible Helldiver, once the previous Helldiver has been killed or their contract terminated.

It can be safely assumed that the Ship Master is the superior officer of the Service Technician, and is equal in rank to the Democracy Officer and the Helldivers themselves.

Super Destroyer crew assignments are some of the most sought-after in the fleet. Everyone wants to be on a Helldiver's destroyer.
The enemies on the battlefield are one thing, but at least they're out in the open. It's the traitors among us I truly hate.
I haven't set foot on Super Earth myself, but I've heard it's even more spectacular in person.
Even though the First Galactic War ended almost 100 years ago, we're still enjoying the freedom those heroes fought and died for. Maybe in another 100 years, our descendants will be doing the same.
Everyone knows Cyberstan has been a rehabilitation facility for the Cyborgs since the First Galactic War. What a lot of people don't realize is just how many patriotic citizens it takes to keep an operation like that afloat. We will avenge every last one of them.
The election is coming up. Even in the midst of war, Managed Democracy stands strong.
The Democracy Officer is here to optimize our Citizenship. We're lucky, we should always strive to be the best Citizens we can be.
If the Terminids had stayed on the Element 710 farms where they belonged, all this bloodshed could've been avoided.
The average Helldiver mission approaches the cost of a Liberty-class Cruiser. Just goes to show how critical our mission is to the war effort.
When I get exhausted, I just think of all the brave Super Earth colonists out there settling new planets. They do their part, and we do ours.
There's no day-night cycle on board these ships. I like to imagine it's always morning, with a whole day of defending Freedom ahead of me.
This ship will never visit most of our planets. Why? Because they aren't under attack. And with you here, they'll stay that way.
Keep up the good work, Helldiver. Once we win, the planets we're over will finally be allowed to prosper. Like the rest of the Federation.
Liberty rests on your shoulders, Helldiver. I know you can bear the weight.
I'm sure you've wondered how voting works on a Destroyer. Don't worry--our terminal is top-of-the-line. Latest algorithm and everything.
The bots are proof that if you put enough 1s and 0s together, you can threaten the entire galaxy.
You know, the cost of one stratagem is more than most citizens make in a year. You can see why they only entrust the to Helldivers.
Stay vigilant, Helldiver. Complacency plays right into the hands of dissidents.
You know, this destroyer has enough ordnance to level a small moon. I've done the calculations myself.
The more we fight, the more it becomes clear that our enemies will never accept our way of life. It's us or them.
I thought we had a lot of planets when I was a kid, but we've settled dozens more since then. A few generations from now, and the entire Milky Way will be one united Democracy
Keeping things running around here isn't easy, but if that's how I can best serve Liberty, I'll do it gladly.
Each mission puts this crew at risk. But everyone here would gladly give their lives to preserve Democracy.

Here's the problem with the bots, Helldiver: Their whole society revolves around violence. If they actually won the war, they'd have no idea how to function.
You know, the problem with the bugs is that they're relentless expansionists. In their region of space, we've found them on nearly every planet we've settled.
The bugs are basically and out-of-control pest. And you're the exterminator.
If you've got any Medals or Super Credits, you can spend them in the Acquisition Center. That's where they sell the fancy stuff.
01000001 01001000. That was the first intercepted bot message. Our analysts think it means "Kill all humans." (binary: AH)
The DSS... it's like a Super Super, Super Destroyer.
The DSS is so large, it's run by 10 Ship Masters. Can you imagine?
The logistics involved in running the DSS... I could think about it all day.
With the DSS around, this planet will be free in no time.

Hey, Helldiver. Wanna hear something crazy? I heard that in the old days, every work of art belonged to the artist who made it. Can you imagine? Now, of course, art is all converted to data and then replicated over and over. Far more efficient.
I heard there was talk of a strike on Prosperity Falls. Something about their work being replicated without their consent... hopefully they'll crack down on them soon.
Super Earth under attack. It doesn't seem real, does it?
Super Earth is our home. Even if none of us have ever lived there before... we could, someday. That's why we can't lose this fight.
Super Earth's population is concentrated in the Mega Cities. That's where we'll be fighting.

The Ship Master is voiced by Michelle Wong.
The Ship Master is the only NPC to have a consistent appearance on all ships.
Alongside the Service Technician, the Ship Master is one of two known crew members to not hail from Super Earth, instead hailing from an unknown planet colony.
The Ship Master has a rare chance of humming the Super Earth Anthem. (Humming Video)
The Ship Master has a walking animation she will only do once. Whenever a new player first completes the Tutorial and enters their Super Destroyer, the Ship Master will be waiting in front of the cryopod, where she will give the player some words of encouragement before walking to her default position. She is the only NPC on the Super Destroyer (that players can interact with) that can walk.
