A fully-automatic shotgun with a high rate of fire, excellent for controlling crowds. Requires frequent reloading.
~ Armory Description

The SG-225 Breaker is an automatic, box magazine-fed shotgun in Helldivers 2. A potent weapon that packs a considerable punch at close to medium range with a relatively fast fire rate compared to other shotguns, the Breaker is nevertheless plagued by a limited ammo capacity that makes it dependent on frequent resupply, and suffers at extended ranges due to spread and high recoil. In spite of these shortcomings, however, the Breaker has solidified itself as a go-to primary weapon for many Helldivers.

It can be unlocked on page four of Warbond: Helldivers Mobilize. Two variants of the weapon, the SG-225SP Breaker Spray&Pray and SG-225IE Breaker Incendiary, are also available.

Role:[ | ]

The Breaker is a great all-around weapon for dealing with most commonly encountered enemies, being able to clear groups of lightly-armored enemies at close range by unleashing a flurry of automatic fire, while also being able to accurately target enemies at moderate distance or weak points on more heavily-armored foes by tap-firing or by firing in semi-automatic. Ammo capacity is its primary limitation, and efforts should be made to conserve ammo at all times; for dealing with individual fodder enemies you may want to consider switching to your secondary or engaging them in melee, and you should be particularly considerate of when you do or do not perform tactical reloads.

Notes[ | ]

  • Prior to patch 1.000.100, the Breaker featured a shorter, wider magazine, possibly meant to represent a double-to-single stack magazine. Following the patch, the model was changed to feature a longer, slimmer, and clearly single stack magazine with large witness hole windows along either side.
  • As of patch 1.001.100, the Breaker has returned to its previous state with the aforementioned larger magazine of 16 rounds from its recent 10 round counterpart.
