Pöpli IX is one of the five planets that reside within the Xzar Sector.

History[]
Special Military Operations[]
Automaton Expeditions[]
Pöpli IX had spent many years as a peaceful, sand-blasted mining colony of Super Earth, its colonists toiling happily as they enjoyed the tender, benevolent rule of Managed Democracy. However, in the depths of space, a new foe rallied and nurtured its strength.
In the first week of March 2184, the Automatons, heartless killing machines driven by socialism and hatred for the ways of Freedom, launched a surprise attack upon the innocent colonies in the Xzar and Severin Sectors. Against its will, Pöpli IX, and neighboring Ingmar with it, had been plunged head first into the Second Galactic War, shortly after the fall of Mantes a week prior.
From March to April, Pöpli IX would endure the horrors brought upon itself by the invading bots, barely receiving any Helldiver support (in comparison to planets like Tibit or Vandalon IV during the same time period)
However, shortly after the siege of Tien Kwan, Pöpli IX's opportunity to return to Liberty would arise.
Operation Swift Disassembly[]
Operation Swift Disassembly would be greenlit by Super Earth High Command on the last week of March. The first step was to liberate Troost in order to destroy an important Automaton Communications Array. On the way to Troost, parts of the Helldiver corps would deviate towards Draupnir in order to conduct secondary liberation campaigns on the Xzar Sector. Pöpli IX would be liberated on March 29th, shortly before the Automatons were decisively defeated on Malevelon Creek on April 3rd, restoring peace on the planet
Second Galactic War[]
Automaton Invasion of Cyberstan[]
From April onwards, Pöpli IX has remained free alongside with the rest of the Xzar Sector. But it did not regain the peace it had been robbed off as, a mere 2 days after their defeat on Malevelon Creek, the Automatons launched a second invasion upon Super Earth Territory, now targetting Cyberstan and all surrounding sectors.
Pöpli IX's colonists would conduct the repairs on their sufficiently-sized homes with dread on their minds as the days passed and they watched the Automatons approaching the Xzar Sector one planet at a time.
On April 25th, Pöpli IX would be given a fright as the Automatons launched their first assault on Mort. This assault would fail miserably, showing how vastly overstretched the robotic colonizers were amidst their constant usurpations.
On late May, Mort would take a second assault, the Automatons committing more forces than in their first attempt yet, as expected from all who oppose the unquestionable rule of Freedom, failed once more.
Operation Xzar Lockdown[]
Up until June, Pöpli IX stood on high alert as, while Mort had been defended in two occasions, the Automatons had hunkered down on Charbal-VII in the neighboring Andromeda Sector up north, using it as a forward base on which to concentrate their forces. Then, on June 21st, a third Automaton assault took over Mort while the Helldivers were occupied with the Terminid Front. Super Earth would issue a new Major Order. Pöpli IX and the rest of the Xzar Sector had to be defended from the Automatons.
On June 22nd, the Automatons on Mort would make a move to attempt a takeover of Ingmar but would be repealed. Then, on June 24th, they would launch 2 parallel assaults. One would go from recently captured Vandalon IV to Ingmar and the other went from Mort to Pöpli IX. The Helldivers, in a textbook display of military prowess, would successfully defend Ingmar and defeat the invasion force on Mort, which would cripple the assault on Pöpli to a halt, giving Super Earth a peerless victory.
However, Pöpli would not get to regain its lost peace. On June 24th, the Automatons made an unprecedented move. They would launch an assault onto Mantes through a new FTL Line they would create from Vandalon IV. Despite the successful defense on Mantes, this left Pöpli IX with a new fear: That one day, an Automaton Fleet may appear out of nowhere to occupy it once more.
