Leng Secundus was a remote peaceful planet colony of Super Earth, far off in the Western Galactic Rim. Having been settled during the Great Democratization, decades after the end of the First Galactic War, its history afterwards would not be very eventful and its economy would grow stably and allow its colonists to construct various scattered urban settlements throughout the planet's surface over the course of the years.
However, Leng Secundus' involvement on the Second Galactic War would begin early. During the Automaton Expeditions of February to April 2184, the Colonial Overseers of the Quintus Sector would quickly coordinate their joint disconnection from the Federation's FTL Network in order to prevent the Automatons at nearby Tibit from reaching any further. This cautious move not only spared them some of the carnage from these early months of the war, but also helped encircle the Automatons at Tibit and ultimately allowed for their Expeditionary Forces to be completely eradicated in April.
For the rest of 2184, Leng Secundus remained at peace and completely undisturbed. However, an old and sinister foe watched from the depths of the cosmos awaiting a chance to strike. The 
Illuminate, an old alien enemy from the First Galactic War, had returned and was intent on destroying Super Earth and waging war against Managed Democracy once more.
On January 31st, 2185, the Illuminate deployed an invasion force onto the planet, with the intention of siphoning resources and abducting civilians in order to serve their mysterious yet definitely autocratic intentions. The 
Helldivers, despite being occupied with their campaign to destroy the 
Jet Brigade Factories at Chort Bay, nobly deployed a contingent as aid to the planet's colonial defenders. However, this aid would not be enough and, 12 hours after the invaders made planetfall, they would retreat.
