The Lacaille Sector is an inhabited area of galaxy found on the Western Front in Helldivers 2. Localized on galactic North-West from 
Super Earth , it consists of 4 colonized systems.
The sector was initially a peaceful one from February to April 2184. However, the 
Automatons would launch an unthinkable, violent, and powerful invasion of the adjacent Valdis Sector before overpowering scrambling 
SEAF forces in the Lacaille sector throughout the month of April 2184. Since then, the sector has mostly remained under the odious mechanical grip of the despotic Automatons.

- During the First Galactic War there was a region called the Lacaille Region.
- The sector is likely named after the ancient French astronomer and geodesist, Nicolas-Louis de Lacaille, who named 14 out of the 88 constellations. From 1750 to 1754, he studied the sky at the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa (present-day southern Sector 5). Lacaille observed over 10,000 stars using a refracting telescope.
