Kharst is one of the six planets that reside within the Gallux Sector.

Return of the Illuminate[]
Kharst was, for much of its recorded history, a peaceful planet colony in the Southern Galactic Rim with a bustling economy that allowed it to finance the construction of several urban colonies in order to house its growing populace. Having been settled after the end of the First Galactic War, not many other events worthy of mention have occured since.
However, such calmness and tranquility are heavily envied by foes who would violently rip such gifts off the hands of Kharst's innocent colonists. The 
Illuminate, an ancient foe of Super Earth from the past century, had returned from their apparent extinction in order to wage war against Freedom once more.
On December 31st, the Illuminate would launch a raid onto Kharst, hot on their heels after plundering Kraz and Canopus. The Helldivers, livid with righteous anger after the invading aliens had managed to escape their punishment, would concentrate their forces and immediately began deployments onto the planet, hoping to return peace to the colonists and bring retribution onto the pillagers.
