Helldiver expeditions first began dropping on Hellmire shortly after the installation of the Terminid Control System on the [[Umlaut Sector|Barrier Planets]], allowing the SEAF to push the hated insectoids into the Mirin and Draco sectors. However, Hellmire's hostile environment made it difficult to stem the tide of fascism there. High Command wisely shifted [[Federation of Super Earth|Super Earth's]] attention to higher-priority targets, especially as the Automaton Front hardened during the siege of [[Tien Kwan]].
