Fori Prime is one of the three planets that resides within the Draco Sector. It is a planet with red sand and tall, imposing plateaus. It serves as one of the 2 border planets with the neighbouring Mirin Sector (the other being nearby Estanu), as it has the only FTL Line towards Oshaune. Additionally, it can immediately link Oshaune with Gacrux, making Fori Prime an essential chokepoint for keeping the Jin Xi Sector stable.
On February 16th, 2185, the Gloom's density around Fori Prime lowered enough to allow the first Gloom Expedition ever to take place inside. After 6 days, the Helldivers had managed to not only gather all the research material requested but would also wind up liberating Fori Prime on February 23rd, marking the first time a planet inside the Gloom was liberated from Terminid Control.
Topography[]
Fori Prime is an arid red desert, rich in iron and other minerals that have given the sand its velvet color. Amidst the crimson dunes, tall plateaus dot the horizon, as they can span sizes similar to Super Earth's continents, suggesting possible ancient aquatic activity. Most of the flora consists of dry bushes and shrubs, and the occasional small dead trees.
History[]
Special Military Operations[]
Fori Prime would be one of the first colonies to fall during the initial Terminid outbreak of February 2184. It would endure horrors beyond description that, for the purposes of brevity, we will forgo describing. Fori Prime would lay in bondage, yearning for liberation until the light of Liberty shun on it from the horizon. Shortly after the installation of the Terminid Control System on the Barrier Planets, the Helldivers would finally be able to push farther east, allowing them to access the Draco and Mirin Sectors.
Operation Prime Liberation[]
As demand increased for civilian population expansion and energy sources, Super Earth would see the opportunity to fulfill these needs in the Draco and Mirin Sectors. As such, Super Earth High Command issued a major order for the liberation of Fori Prime and Zagon Prime. While Fori Prime would be easily captured, Zagon Prime proved unable to be captured on time, which led to all C-01 forms being denied until further notice.
Operation CBCT Protection[]
Despite the previous failure, a new order would be issued. The Helldivers were to obtain and maintain control of Fori Prime, alongside Estanu, Crimsica and Hellmire, for 3 days while Civilian Biomass Collection teams acquired inert Terminids for research purposes. While most of the other planets were relatively easy to keep under control, Fori Prime and Hellmire would prove challenging to maintain, with Fori Prime's defense being consistently tested due to constant assault from Oshaune.
Operation Enduring Bulwark[]
Things would only turn for the worse for the remote red planet, as the war soon escalated. Shortly after their complete obliteration on Malevelon Creek in April, the Automatons would return in even bigger numbers on the West, taking over Cyberstan and the rest of the Valdis Sector. And to make matters worse, the Terminids, in an act of sinister coordination with the mechanized foes, would also launch one great offensive in the East.
Despite this incredible, dual-fronted assault, the Helldivers would once more prove themselves the unbreakable shield of mankind, managing to hold the line against dozens of assaults, both bot and bug, with planets like Estanu withstanding up to 5 consecutive assaults. Fori Prime would see its own Terminid Assault during this operation, with its defense resulting in a huge success, in part thanks to the timely liberation of neighboring Oshaune, which was the main supply source for the Terminid assault on Fori Prime. While largely successful in their defense campaigns against the bugs, the bot side would continue to worsen as their offensive gained more and more steam.
From here on, Fori Prime's situation would go from a matter of occupation to a matter of holding Fori Prime for as long as possible. Due to its remoteness and other, bigger developments throughout April and especially May of 2184, Fori Prime would see virtually all Helldiver presence in it cease completely, leaving it undefended and, eventually, allowing it to be captured by the Terminids.
Second Galactic War[]
As May 2184 rolled in, things soured in the Terminid Front. With the failure of the Terminid Control System and the apparition of the Meridian Supercolony, the Terminid onslaught in the East reached a critical, intolerable level. Fori Prime and the rest of the Draco Sector quickly fell to the bolstered bug assault and would remain in bondage for the whole month.
It would have seemed that all hope was lost for the red planet, which had so far only tasted but a drop of the glorious ambrosia of Managed Democracy. However, Liberty's will was for Fori Prime to have a second chance.
12 scientists would be tragically spaghettified at Moradesh on May 29th, as the SEAF gave the green light to Operation Enduring Peace. It's goal: To use the Dark Fluid, an Illuminate superweapon capable of collapsing planets into black holes, on Meridia. Then on the late hours of May 30th, the news would break: The Helldivers had successfully destroyed the abominable Supercolony, crippling the augmented Terminid wave and allowing for a counterattack.
Operation Hive Breaker[]
After a swift re-establishment of freedom on the Umlaut Sector and some much needed victories on the Automaton Front, Super Earth High Command would give a new major order. The Helldivers were to reliberate Hellmire, Estanu, Crimsica, Nivel 43 and Fori Prime.
Crimsica would be liberated first, on June 16th. Then followed Estanu on the 17th. Then, finally, Fori Prime would be liberated once again on June 18th, with Oshaune and Hellmire being selected as the next targets for liberation. However, the Terminids were determined to maintaining their hold over the red planet, as they quickly launched a counterattack on Fori Prime on the morning of June 19th. After a great deal of death, Super Earth held the planet and it is now classified as a "Frontline World Against Evil."
Falstaff and Jin Xi Lockdown[]
And true to its new classification, Fori Prime would soon endure another assault. However, the planet would only find misfortune, as it would be assaulted while the Helldivers were diverted to the defense of the Xzar Sector. It would fall shortly and then get stuck in a deadlock for a couple days before then, around June 29th, sending an outburst of Terminid Spores towards Crimsica, which successfully overwhelmed its defenses.
Operation Andromeda[]
Fori Prime would remain resistant to liberation and, once the Helldivers were diverted away to fight the Automatons, it would serve as a launching pad for the Terminids to invade Estanu yet again in July, successfully cutting Fori Prime off.
Operation Gloom Eternal[]
Ever since its loss to the Gloom in July, Fori Prime would remain under firm control of the
Terminid Horde for the rest of 2184, seemingly lost to Liberty's grace for good. However, for the little glimpses it had had of prosperity, it eagerly awaited a chance to return to Freedom's embrace, however small it may be. And on February 2185, almost a year after the initial Terminid Outbreak had snatched it away, said chance appeared.
With recent advancements in extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves and Gloom spore filters, the
Xenoentomology Centre would finally produce the necessary equipment and technology for Super Earth High Command to consider an expedition into the Gloom. As luck would have it, due to a myriad of factors from the movement of the Meridian Singularity to other Gloom activity, Fori Prime would be especially positioned in a low-density area of the Gloom.

With this development, the Helldivers would receive new orders almost immediately after they successfully defended Fenrir III and Erata Prime from the horrors of the new
Predator Strain. They were to dive into Fori Prime and kill as many Terminids as possible and gather as many samples as they could, with Fori Prime's liberation also being a tertiary objective.
Yet, against all the evil that the Terminids could conjure, all the wickedness that the devious bugs could produce, humanity would send onto them only their best: The
Helldivers. 100,000 Super Destroyers immediately heeded the call and deployed onto Fori Prime's atmosphere expeditiously, eager to gather more information on what awaited inside of the horrendous nebula. What they found would shatter a normal, patriotic citizen's morale: The old, abandoned cities filled with putrefaction, filth and horrid Terminid nests and spires that towered high into the sky, rows of Shrieker Nests scattered between Fori Prime's plateaus and, worst of all, the once pristine green grass lawns defiled.
A heart-shattering image that would bring even the most loyal to tears. But amidst all the putrefaction running rampant across Fori Prime's now abandoned cities, the most distinctive symbol of hope was still standing: The Terminids, either in their careless hatred or their innate fear, had not taken down the good old White, Yellow and Blue banner that signified their demise.
The Helldiver Corps would deploy onto Fori Prime to encounter the highest resistance ever. Millions upon millions of now heavily mutated, spore-bursting swarms of Terminid Warriors and Hunters pouring out of every spire and nest like a tide. During the first day of the battle; the planet was estimated to have a 15% Enemy Resistance Index, the single highest out of any planet ever seen during the war up until this point beating Meridia by a whole 5%. Yet, the Helldivers charged forth, killing as many Terminids as they could find and scavenging as many Gloom-infused samples as they could carry.

The
Predator Strain would reappear on Fori Prime for some hours before the Helldivers managed to successfully eradicate them, with the operation continuing smoothly. As the Helldivers battled, the resistance on the planet slowly began to decay, withering down from the initial 15% down to 10% in just the first day, then down to 5% in the 3 days afterwards. Despite being on a "low-density" zone of the Gloom, Fori Prime still posed the most formidable challenge for many Helldivers, for some of them even greater than the challenge posed by Meridia during Operation Enduring Peace.
By the end of the 4th day of battle, the
Predator Strain would resurface on Fori Prime once again, but would be obliterated by the Helldivers once more as they got reinforcements and continued to advance throughout the planet, with 2 out of the 3 objectives of the operation having been completed and with the liberation of Fori Prime now being the only remaining one.
However, it would be during the 6th and last day of battle where Fori Prime's chance would come to fruition, as the enemy resistance on the planet collapsed down from 5% to 3% and the Helldivers began to press their advantage. Even when unconfirmed reports of the
Predator Strain having return appeared, the Helldivers comfortably managed to expunge the last remaining hives off the planet's surface, with Fori Prime finally being liberated on February 23rd, 2185, marking the first time ever that a planet within The Gloom had ever been liberated from the Terminids. Yet, given Fori Prime's location within the Gloom, its liberty would be short lived. Over the upcoming hours, the Gloom around Fori Prime thickened and the planet quickly began to be retaken by the Terminids.
Yet, even if only for a second, Fori Prime had seen hope. Hope to one day return to Managed Democracy's sweet embrace. And the Helldivers would make sure to, one day, make that hope come to fruition. In the meantime, survey results from the join expedition confirmed that Gloom-mutated Terminid populations are saturated with high-yield specimens. Indeed Gloom-saturated planets' projected net E-710 yield is up to 436% greater than non-saturated planets!
In light of this, the Ministry of Expansion would appoint a special Gloom Exploitation Committee, to be headed by trusted E-710 industry leaders. Furthermore whilst the rapidly increasing Gloom density around Fori Prime made further operations impossible for now, the influx of E-710 secured during operation Gloom Eternal would enable accelerated research on the Meridian Singularity at the Center of Science. Like the inevitability of Fori Prime's final liberation, is only a matter of time until we know how the Illuminate are moving the Singularity and how to stop it.
Minor Operation: Impaler Rampage[]
Though the dedication of the
Helldivers remains unwavering throughout the relentless assault on Managed Democracy, it would take its toll on our citizens' sense of well-being. The images of our cities in flames, and butchery of innocent citizens, broadcast on all news channels, are impossible to forget. Surveys indicated that citizens fears of invasion, disenfranchisement, and dismemberment of loved ones is at an all-time high.
That is why the Super Earth Government has ordered the construction of Maximum Security Cities. With no expense spared for surveillance and detection of dissidents, these cities will be ironclad bastions of Freedom. Alongside this would come a public relations campaign, meant to remind our citizens that they are protected by the Galaxy's greatest fighting force. In support, the
Helldivers were ordered to kill the enemies of Freedom that arise most frequently in citizen nightmares.
In support of the ongoing public relations campaign, on the 25th of July High Command would order an short-term expedition to Fori Prime on the outskirts of the Gloom, in order to exterminate 5,000,000 Spore Burst Warriors using the Stalwart. This optional augmentation to the public relations campaign could further boost citizen morale to yet-unforseen heights and so the
Helldivers threw themselves behind it full force.
Amongst the many enemies encountered on the planet was the dreaded Impaler, which were significantly higher in number than other planets elsewhere. As one of the creatures which gave citizens nightmares, they threatened to further exacerbate our citizen's fears and so the
Helldivers set to work exterminating them. By the 27th of July, the
Helldivers had hit their Spore Burst Warrior quota through effective employment of the Stalwart. This caused a spike in citizen donations to the War Fund, which would make it possible to authorize the deployment of Orbital Railcannon Strike strikes to all Helldiver arsenals for the remainder of the current order.
On that same day, the righteous and furious extermination of Terminid Impalers by the Helldivers would spurred our citizens to new heights of patriotic generosity. As a result, High Command has authorized the temporary addition of the HMG Emplacement Stratagem to all Helldiver loadouts for the next 24 hours.
Operation Righteous Reclamation[]
Fori Prime was one of the 3 objetives of the Major Order, together with Nivel 43 and Hellmire, but the
Helldivers mobilized to Hellmire instead of Fori Prime.
Operation Relentless Uproot[]
Fori Prime, amidst its seemingly endless captivity, would receive hope unlike any other on November 4th, 2185, following the final liberation of its neighbor, and grotesque Hive World, Oshaune by the righteous
Helldivers. This monumental victory against the
Terminids wouldn't just bring an end to the absolute terror that Oshaune had experienced, but also had a massive secondary effect. Fori Prime, enshrouded by The Gloom for over a year, was now no longer enveloped by the gigantic spore cloud.
The Gloom had seemingly disappeared from not just Fori Prime, but from every
Terminid-controlled world east of Oshaune, including Overgoe Prime, Fori Prime, Partion, Bore Rock and Azur Secundus -- as though burned by the burning hot embers of Managed Democracy's unyielding light. This effect was quickly linked by gloom specialists to the Liberation of Oshaune and the destruction of 99% of the planet's Hive Lungs.
Evidently Hive Worlds and their expansive Spore Lungs are critical for maintaining the Gloom and it's expanse, meaning when one of the Hive Worlds are taken and their infernal lungs are destroyed, the Gloom would recede like the tide. In any case,
Terminid resistance rates would collapse on Fori Prime and other lucky worlds, finally giving a potential opportunity for their release from their unlawful occupiers.

Trivia[]
- During the events of Operation Gloom Eternal, the various missions on Fori Prime featured novel combinations of objectives, with traditionally primary objectives such as Launch ICBM appearing as secondary objectives. Sub-objectives such as Seismic Probes became primary objectives with Conduct Geological Survey as its sub-objective. Lidar Stations that normally appear as optional objectives were the focus of the "Collect Gloom Spore Readings" mission, transmitting their data to a local relay. An "Exterminate Terminids" objective—similar to the "Purge Illuminate"—also appeared on some missions.
