An Encirclement is a region of space controlled by one faction that becomes surrounded by another enemy faction. Most Encirclements are typically short lived, but some have lasted significant stretches of time that end up becoming a key part of the War. These are some of the most notable Encirclements in the Second Galactic War.
Ymir Encirclements[]
The Ymir Encirclement was a region of Super Earth space from May 21st to June 10th, 2184, June 11th to July 16th, 2184, and from March 19th to March 23rd, 2185. It was created when Varylia 5 was invaded by the Automatons cutting the only FTL line to the Ymir Sector, Wezen also was invaded blocking FTL access to the Sector. After Vega Bay fell, X-45 was the only planet under Super Earth control in the sector. Vega Bay would be liberated during Operation Firewall making to so X-45 was not surrounded by Automaton controlled world but it did not have FTL lines to any of them intel 3 days later. Ustotu would be attacked cutting the only FTL line again. Little happened after this and before Operation Starslayer accept Varylia 5 being invaded. During Operation Starslayer the Automatons would take Wezen and Vega Bay reaching X-45 but being beaten back. Operation Andromeda was the Operation to finally end the Ymir Encirclement and free the forces trapped inside, ending with the liberation of Marfark.
In March 2185, months after the Ymir Encirclements of 2184, the Automatons made it back to the Ymir Sector by capturing both Meissa and Wasat. Then, on March 18th, the Automatons began a massive offensive across the Ymir, Andromeda, and Nanos Sectors, with the bots beginning a powerful attack on Vega Bay. With most of the
Helldivers fending off massive attacks by the new Automaton
Incineration Corps on Martale and Bekvam III, the normal Automaton fleet further north in the Ymir Sector was unimpeded, and as such they easily took over Vega Bay by the next day. Just moments after the fall of Vega Bay, the Automatons immediately began to attack Wezen and easily captured the planet by March 20th. Some hours after the fall of Wezen, the bots then launched yet another attack, this time on Varylia 5 as they sought to cut off Helldiver access to Wezen. By the 21st, Varylia had fallen to the invading robots, officially cutting off access to Wezen.
By the 22nd, the Helldivers had ceded the entirety of the Ymir Sector to the Automatons, save for X-45. Sure enough, with the Helldivers trying to contain massive attacks on Dolph and Charbal-VII further south, the bots launched an assault on X-45, and collapsed its defenses by the next day. As such, the entire Ymir Sector was cut off from the Helldivers, and the Automatons were victorious in their encirclement of the sector.

Matar Bay Encirclement[]
The Matar Bay Encirclement was a region of Automaton space from July 14th to August 14th, 2184 that was cut of from Cyberstan and the main Automaton force. During Operation Andromeda, the pocket was formed by the successful captures of Matar Bay. The latter half of Operation Andromeda, as well as Operation Righteous Expunge were dedicated to clearing the Andromeda Sector of resistance. Operation Liberty Crush was the largest offensive against the encirclement, pushing it to only three planets. Further efforts in August during Operation Lighthouse led to the complete destruction of Automaton forces in the pocket.
History[]
On July 14th, this entire region of space was separated from Cyberstan's supply lines with the fall of Matar Bay. After Operation Starslayer's successful defence of Super Earth holdings in the Ymir sector, the Automatons were left weakened and vulnerable. Only Aesir Pass and Matar Bay were left to connect their supply lines in the far west. On July 11th, the Helldivers began the offensive to form the pocket. By the end of the operation, Marfark and Martale were retaken from the Automatons.
On July 17th, the operation came to an end. The severely weakened state of the Automaton forces meant that small groups of Helldivers could make progress even without a major order to direct them. By July 18th, small forces ranging from 200 - 1000 had made ~4% of liberation progress on Vega Bay and Vandalon IV. Operation Righteous Expunge targeted Charon Prime for liberation, a task already well underway by remnants of the attacking force on Martale.
By July 21st, Operation Righteous Expunge had seen the liberation of Choepessa IV, Charbal-VII, and Charon Prime.

The Frontlines on August 14th, 2184, immediately after the Fall of Troost
Operation Liberty Crush began on July 27th, 2184 with the aim of clearing out this region. Prior to this, significant parts of Choepessa and Wasat were occupied by the enemy. This operation saw the recapture of Wasat shortly thereafter, but just as Vega Bay was almost retaken, X-45 came under attack on the 30th. This assault would reconnect Automaton forces to the pocket if Vega Bay was not captured. By the end of this operation, only Wezen, Troost, and Vandalon IV remained in enemy hands.
On August 10th, the final campaign to end the Matar Bay Encirclement began. Wezen was captured in the previous days without a Major Order. Operation Finest Phalanx dictated that Troost and Vandalon IV must be captured by August 15th. Vandalon fell rapidly, with Troost near defeat on the 13th.
The encirclement was finally destroyed with the fall of Troost on August 14th. Celebrations broke out across free space, with citizens burning scrap metal to celebrate this final defeat.

Marspira Encirclement[]
The Marspira Encirclement was a region of Automaton space that was cut of from Cyberstan and the main Automaton force from September 1st to September 8th. The Encirclement was created when Vernen Wells was liberated cutting off Tarsh and Mastia from the main Automatons forces. This would continue for 7 days intel Gaellivare fell to the Automatons and re-connected it to Cyberstan.
Timeline[]
- September 1st, 2184: Vernen Wells is liberated, creating the Marspira Encirclment.
- September 6th, 2184: Automatons invaded Gaellivare.
- September 8th, 2184: Gaellivare falls to the Automatons, ending the Marspira Encirclment.
Tanis Encirclement[]
The Tanis Encirclement was a region of Automaton space that was cut of from Cyberstan and the main Automaton force from October 25th to November 22nd and November 25th to December 27. The Encirclement was created when Lesath was liberated cutting all FTL lines to Cyberstan to the Sector. The Encirclment was made of three planets Vog-Sojoth, Clasa and Zefia. Instead of Enemy Resistance falling to 0.00%, the planets stayed at 2% or 1.5%, this is why Yed Prior was able to be invaded by encircled forces on October 27th and Blistica and Mintoria on the 28th, extending the Encirclement into the Gellert Sector, Zzaniah Prime's invasion was repelled on the 31st and Demiurg on the 1st. Nothing would happen in the encirclement intel Lesath was invaded on the 21st of November, with its fall a day later Automaton forces were re-connected with the main force ending the encirclement.
Not 3 days later Lesath would be liberated re-cutting the FTL line creating the Second Tanis Encirclement. This also coincided with the second attack on Zzaniah Prime which succeeded but after this the front when silent intel Operation Crop Dust this would kick out the Automatons from the Gellert Sector, the DSS was deployed the Zzaniah Prime then Mintoria and then Blistica liberated all three in three days. After this, the DSS was deployed to Vog-Sojoth and was then sabotaged unable to leave the system. Nothing happened after this and the return of the Illuminate intel on the 26th when Lesath was attacked, the defense failed and the encirclement was over.
In late January 2185, Lesath was once again liberated creating the Third Tanis Encirclement. An attack on Lesath by the Jet Brigade tried to re-connect to the encirclement but was unsuccessful. In early March the Automatons would launch attacks into the Gellert Sector, first Blistica then Mintoria and Zzaniah Prime, but only Blistica would remain in Automaton control. While this was happening, the Automatons had attacked the
Deep Mantle Forge Complex on Claorell. This was unsuccessful with the helldivers also pushing them from Vog-Sojoth.
In late April 2185, the Illuminate began major attacks on the Federation's critical infrastructure, attacking the
Xenoentomology Centre on Turing and the
Centre of Science on Fenrir III. Amidst the offensive, Claorell wouldn't be spared as the Illuminate raided the planet on April 27, dealing significant damage to the Deep Mantle Forge Complex and the overall infrastructure of the planet. With the planet ransacked and having little time to recover, the Automatons became aware of the Illuminate attack on the planet. Immediately, the bots at Clasa began to assemble battalions, ready to take advantage of the damage done by the Illuminate.
On April 28, the Automatons launched an attack on Claorell which would only take 12 hours to collapse its defenses. With the Helldivers tasked with liberating Turing amidst a Predator Strain outbreak while also repelling Illuminate invasions, Claorell was heavily undermanned and fell by early morning on Super Earth. After its fall, the Automatons heavily fortified the planet with High Command marking Claorell as having a 3% enemy resistance rate per hour.
Luckily, following the sudden disappearance of the Illuminate a few hours later, High Command issued an Order for the Helldivers to take back the critical infrastructure that had fallen to both the Terminids and the Automatons. Claorell was included in the Order, but wouldn't see much action until about 2-3 days into the Operation with Mastia and Achernar Secundus the two initial priorities of the campaign.
However, the Automatons, ever devious in their avarice, began to quietly plot a plan to lock down Claorell for good. The Automaton Incineration Corps, their latest strike force developed in March 2185, had disappeared after their major offensive campaign in the Ymir, Trigon, Andromeda, Nanos, and Xzar Sectors. Following their defeat at Pöpli IX, the Incineration Corps retreated for the next month, seeking to redress their pathetic shortcomings. On May 1, 2185, trouble began to occur in the Lacaille Sector as a rebuilt Automaton
Incineration Corps was spotted amassing on Penta before moving to Lesath shortly after. Then, seeking to reconnect with their forces in the Tanis Sector, the Incineration Corps launched a powerful assault on Vog-Sojoth in tandem with an attack on Vernen Wells. Shortly after, a third division of the Incineration Corps moved from Lesath to Gaellivare. Using Gaellivare as a pivot, the Automatons then launched an attack on Claorell's southern flank, Imber.
With the attacks on Vog-Sojoth and Imber, it was clear that the Automatons intended to capture both planets to cut off Claorell from the FTL network and thus end the Helldivers' liberation efforts on the planet. The Helldivers, after a massive tactical blunder with the DSS Eagle Storm, failed to defend either Imber or Vog-Sojoth, with the Automatons officially cutting SEAF forces off from Claorell and forcing the Helldivers to surrender the planet and retreat. With the captures of Imber and Vog-Sojoth, the Tanis Encirclement officially ended, marking a shameful SEAF defeat that has left the Deep Mantle Forge Complex under the leadership of the cowardly, evil Automatons.

Gar Haren Encirclement[]
The Gar Haren Encirclement was a region of Terminid space that was cut of from the main Terminid force from from October 29 to November 22nd. The Encirclement was created when Phact Bay was liberated during Operation Adamant Resolve cutting Gar Haren of from the Terminid FTL network. Gar Haren would stay as encircled for nearly a month intel the DSS was deployed to Gar Haren quickly liberating it and ending the encirclement.

- November 22nd, 2184: DSS is deployed to Gar Haren, Gar Haren is liberated, ending the Gar Haren Encirclment.
Martale Encirclements[]
The Martale Encirclement is a region of Automaton space that was cut off from Cyberstan and the main Automaton force since October 30th. Enemy Resistance on Martale had been at 1.50% since the planet had been invaded and even after it had become encircled. On November 18th, Enemy Resistance on Martale dropped to 1.00%. On November 29th, an Automaton attack was launched on Matar Bay and was successful in reconnecting with the forces in the pocket, but on December 3rd Matar Bay was liberated, re-encircling the Automaton forces. On December 17th, the Enemy Resistance on Martale fell to 0.50%, and on the 26th Enemy Resistance completely collapsed on Martale to 0.00%. The planet would reach 81% liberation progress after 2 weeks of siege, until January 8, 2185, when the Automatons at Choohe sent an attack toward neighboring Matar Bay. By the next day, the Automatons would capture the Bay, and Martale's liberation progress gradually fell to 0%, ending the encirclement.

- January 9th, 2185: Matar Bay falls to the Automatons, re-connecting Martale to the rest of Automaton space, ending the Martale encirclement again.
Cirrus Encirclement[]
The Cirrus Encirclement is a region of Terminid space that is cut of from the main Terminid force since January 20th. Ever since Cirrus and Heeth had fallen during Operation Farsight Breach a steady liberation rate on Heeth had remained, this was bolstered by the arrival of the DSS on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th before it was finally liberated on the 20th cutting Cirrus of from the rest of Terminid forces.
The Encirclement of Cirrus gradually dragged the enemy resistance on Cirrus to as low as 0.25%, and with a steady skeleton force of Helldivers consistently present on the world, the planet would gradually grow in liberation progress. By the end of January 2185, into early February, the planet was finally in liberty's embrace, and the Terminids were kicked out of the Orion Sector for good.
Borgus Encirclement[]
The Borgus Encirclement is a region of Federation space that has been cut off from the rest of Super Earth. The Borgus Sector, located on the eastern parts of the galaxy, has been a frequent target of the Terminids since October 2184. They would first spread to Darius II, but were only able to gain a foothold there, as they were repelled in one of the closest defense campaigns to date on Achird III. Since then, Darius had only been held in brief installments, the
Helldivers consistently liberating or successfully defending any bug outbreaks on the acidic world.
Into March 2185, this would change when Darius II fell to the Terminids during a simultaneous attack on Mintoria from the
Automatons. With the
Helldivers tasked with liberating planet Bore Rock at the time, Darius gradually fell into full Terminid control. Some days later, the Terminids officially began the Borgus Encirclement as they attacked Achird III in tandem with an Automaton attack on Wasat. Achird would not see a miracle as it did in October, and the planet fell along with Wasat.
The infestation of Achird III cut off support to Achernar Secundus and Ursica XI, leaving them encircled. On March 14, the Terminids capitalized on the encirclement by launching a powerful attack on Achernar in tandem with an attack on Fenrir III. Both planets would fall, but would both be re-liberated after around 2-3 more days of fighting. Then, on April 6, the Terminids sent 12 million broods toward Ursica XI. They were repelled after around 19 hours of fighting with the planet well-defended by strong Helldiver support. However, that wouldn't be the last infestation of the planet, as Ursica would be attacked once again-albeit with a much smaller invading force- on April 15, six hours after the Terminids also attacked Acamar IV. Luckily, the Helldivers were able to complete the liberation campaign of Nivel 43 and turn back in time to defend both planets in a solid display of perseverance and resilience.
The Terminids gave the Helldivers no rest. Mere moments after Ursica and Acamar were successfully defended, the bugs launched a brazen attack across multiple words led by their recurring Gloom mutation, the
Predator Strain. All
Helldivers were ordered to the defense of at least nine incoming Terminid attacks, with the Corps beginning by successfully repelling attacks on Fenrir III and Crimsica, while Esker was left to its own devices and fell. During the second day of the Order, the Factory Hub on Achernar came under attack by the Predator Strain. Immediately, most of the Corps relocated to its defense, and the attack was handily repelled by the next day.
Achernar and Ursica would see relative peace for some days after their defenses, but that wasn't to be all for the innocent worlds. During Operation Omens Undone, the Illuminate attacked Achernar Secundus, dealing significant damage to the planet's
Factory Hub along with its rural and urban infrastructure. In a truly brazen moment, hours after the Illuminate ransacking of the planet, the
Terminids launched an attack that would only take 12 hours to collapse its defenses. With the Helldivers focused on repelling other Illuminate attacks and re-liberating Turing, Achernar fell in swift order, now leaving Ursica as the only planet left in the Encirclement unless Achernar ends up re-liberated.
Sure enough, High Command issued an Order calling for the Helldivers to take back the critical infrastructure that was lost to both the Terminids and the
Automatons during the previous Order. As such, the Helldivers initially deployed to Mastia and Achernar Secundus, with Mastia the first to be liberated. The majority of the Corps immediately deployed to Achernar shortly after, and the planet was liberated in the late hours of May 1.
For the next month, the war largely passed the Borgus Sector by. With the resurgence of the Illuminate and the
S.E.A.F. victory against them in the Battle of
Super Earth, all attention was centered on Freedom's capital. By June 10th, celebrations were still ongoing throughout the galaxy, and the
Helldivers continued to make progress liberating Illuminate supply caches in the Galactic South. In an unexpected maneuver, the
Terminids would abruptly launch a brazen attack in the Korpus Sector, making planetfall on Crucible and Alta V. High Command abandoned ongoing Illuminate operations and immediately ordered the Helldivers to stage a defense, demanding that all planets in the Korpus Sector remain under the Federation's control by June 17th.
In the short term, the attack by the Terminids had its benefits for the Borgus Sector, as new FTL Lines between Inari and Ursica XI were established. As a result, Ursica and Achernar Secundus were now both connected back to other systems, briefly ending the Borgus Encirclement.
As fate were to have it, the end of the Encirclement was short-lived. On June 11th, amidst the ongoing Terminid attack on Crucible, the Predator Strain on Veld established a new FTL Line with Inari and invaded the planet with 12 million broods. In an extremely close race, the
Predator Strain just barely collapsed Inari's defenses with the
Helldivers on the brink of defending the world. As such, the Borgus Encirclement was created once more after a brief 24-hour period in which Ursica and Achernar were free of siege. Inari would be liberated two days later on the 14th of June, once again ending the Borgus Encirclement.

Umlaut-Orion-Celeste Encirclements[]
The Umlaut-Orion-Celeste Encirclement, formerly known as the Veld-Slif Encirclement, is a region of Terminid space that has been cut off from the rest of its Terminid-controlled planets. It has been one of the more notable encirclements during the war, as it has been led by the mutated-Terminid Predator Strain, and for the fact that it has now seen the
Terminids push closer to Super Earth than ever before.
The conditions for the Encirclement were created after the Illuminate launched a raid on the
Xenoentomology Centre on Turing. The attack caused significant damage to highly-secured parts of the Centre for the study of mutated specimens. As a result, Turing came under attack from the
Predator Strain and instantly fell. Some hours after its fall, the Predator Strain then launched an assault on planet Veld, marking its first involvement in the war in nearly a year. A blunder with the Helldiver placement of the Democracy Space Station and its Eagle Storm booster allowed the Terminids to make significant gains, and even though the Helldivers eventually took the lead on Veld, the planet eventually fell to the Terminids. Just before the fall of Veld, High Command immediately issued an Order calling for the liberation of Turing along with the completion of Operations against the
Illuminate.
Some hours after the fall of Veld, the Predator Strain launched yet another attack, this time on planet Slif. With the Helldivers focused on Turing, Slif fell, allowing the Predator Strain to continue their rapid propagation throughout the galaxy.
Luckily, on April 27th, Turing was liberated from the Terminids, officially creating the Veld-Slif Encirclement. Despite the two planets being encircled, the resistance rates on both planets remained at 1% and 1.5% respectively, with the Terminid hives on both worlds remaining resilient.
A week would pass by, with both planets remaining relatively untouched. Then, Operation Equilibrium was issued on May 5th, in which a joint Automaton-Terminid offensive began to encroach on the Federation. The Helldivers were ordered to liberate one more planet than was lost for the next week, a difficult task with all 3 of the Predator Strain,
Incineration Corps, and
Jet Brigade present across the galaxy.
On the Eastern Front, the Veld-Slif Encirclement became the focus of operations. The Terminids somehow managed to extend the Encirclement, as the
Predator Strain on Slif launched a powerful attack on Krakatwo. In one of the closer battles of the Second Galactic War, the Helldivers just about repelled the strong attack on the planet with just under an hour left before the Terminids were projected to win. The battles wouldn't end there though, as the
Predator Strain located on planet Azterra launched a powerful attack on Sulfura, the southwestern point of the Celeste Sector. As the Helldivers were attempting to weaken the extremely powerful Automaton
Jet Brigade attack on Demiurg, Sulfura's defense was valiant yet undermanned. The planet fell by the next day, closing the gap between the non-encircled and encircled portions of Terminid space.
Meanwhile, the encircled Terminids of Veld and Slif weren't content with their previous defeat on the icy Krakatwo. On May 11th, they sent yet another powerful assault toward the frigid world. This time, with more Helldivers focused on the defense of Claorell alongside the re-liberation of Sulfura, Krakatwo's defense was relatively feeble, and the planet fell by the next day. Luckily, with the re-liberation of Sulfura around the same time as the fall of Krakatwo, the Terminids were still disconnected on the whole.
Yet, the battle wouldn't end there. Following the end of Operation Equilibrium, the Terminids wouldn't end their offensive there. Amidst an ongoing, powerful attack on Zzaniah Prime by the Automaton
Incineration Corps, the
Predator Strain sent their own attack from Krakatwo onto Nublaria I. Unfortunately, both defenses were forced to be abandoned after the shocking appearance of the full
Illuminate fleet who were headed right for the heart of liberty on Super Earth. With High Command issuing the highest State of Emergency and ordering the Helldivers to slow the Illuminate advance, both Nublaria and Zzaniah were undermanned and fell to the
Terminids and
Automatons respectively.
After 2 weeks of grueling combat against The Great Host, the Helldivers were eventually victorious, sending the
Illuminate in retreat from
Super Earth. The entirety of the galaxy erupted in mass relief, jubilation, and celebration as the greatness of the
S.E.A.F. was once again on full display. Over the next 4 days the Helldivers would engage in liberation efforts from both the
Terminids and
Automatons, and by June 1st Terrek was liberated. As a result of Terrek's liberation, the
Predator Strain on Azterra became encircled and their hives on the planet would slowly collapse having no external Terminid support. Azterra would be eventually liberated some days later, and the
Terminids' essentially had their own attempted encirclement turned against them.
On June 10th, the encircled Terminids on Krakatwo and Slif launched a brazen attack, establishing new FTL Lines in the Korpus Sector as they attacked Alta V and Crucible in massive numbers. High Command immediately issued a new Operation, ordering the
Helldivers to stage a defense of the Sector for the next week. Immediately, the main Helldiver fleet turned up to both planets, with most defending against the gargantuan 40 million broods on Crucible. With the race for Crucible turning into a slog, and time running out on Alta V's lower defense timer, the Helldivers changed their tactic and began to turn toward Alta in the hopes of repelling the smaller Terminid attack and turning back to Crucible in time. This strategy ended up paying off massively, as the Helldivers were able to finish off Alta by the morning of the 10th before turning back and finishing off the Terminids on Crucible some hours later.
In the midst of the Helldivers' successful defense, on the morning of the 11th, the
Predator Strain on Veld established a new FTL Line on Inari and immediately began an assault on the planet. Just minutes before, the
Terminids on Slif began yet another massive attack on Volterra. Though the campaign for Inari came down to the wire, the Helldivers ultimately were too split between both planets, and Inari fell by the 12th. Luckily, with Volterra being able to hold against their Terminid attack for 48 hours, the Helldivers stationed on Inari after its fall began to turn up to Volterra once more, boosting its already strong defense.

Gellert Encirclement[]
The Gellert Encirclement is an area of Super Earth space that has been cut off from any additional support. The Gellert Sector, located on the far Northwestern galactic fringe, became a significant battleground during the series of Tanis Encirclements between October 2184 and May 2185. With the Automatons in the Tanis Sector essentially encircled for a total of 4-5 months, the bots there began to push north toward the Gellert Sector, reaching as far as Zzaniah Prime by November 2184. The Automatons wouldn't last long there, as their entire holdings in the Sector were liberated during Operation Crop Dust in December 2184, officially pushing them out for good.
On March 1st, 2185, the Automatons finally made it back to the Gellert Sector as they launched an attack on Blistica. The invasion was successful, and Blistica fell into Automaton hands, bringing the bots back to the northern fringe. Despite Blisitca having a nominally low resistance rate (0.50%), the
Helldivers never made any liberation efforts on the planet with other priorities taking the forefront. As such, though the Automaton hold in the sector was feeble, they maintained their presence in the region.
The bots then attempted to make progress in the Gellert Sector, launching dual attacks on Mintoria and Zzaniah Prime. While Mintoria had fallen, Zzaniah was defended in a tight race. As such, the Helldivers then turned back to Mintoria and liberated the planet, ending the bots' pathetic work and once again leaving Blistica by itself.
On May 2nd, 2185, the Automatons officially ended the Tanis Encirclements as their latest strike force, the
Incineration Corps, captured both Imber and Vog-Sojoth. The bots were now bolstered by these victories, as they had managed to lockdown the
Deep Mantle Forge Complex on Claorell and were in full control of the planet. Luckily, both Imber and Claorell were eventually liberated, but it is likely only a matter of time before both planets see socialist invaders on their surfaces once again.
Some days later, the Incineration Corps that captured Vog-Sojoth moved to Automaton-controlled Clasa. It appeared the
Incineration Corps was preparing to attack Demiurg, but this ultimately didn't materialize. Instead, in an unexpected maneuver, the Automaton
Jet Brigade had moved from Claorell onto Clasa, seemingly fearing that Claorell would be liberated. Thus, the
Jet Brigade used Clasa as its staging ground and launched a brazen, powerful 30 battalions onto Demiurg the next day.
In the meantime, the Gellert Sector now was once again under major threat. With the Jet Brigade stationed on Clasa on May 8th, the
Incineration Corps then decided to leave Clasa up to the Brigade, now instead moving to Yed Prior and then to Blistica.
With the Incineration Corps now in the Gellert Sector, both Mintoria and Zzaniah Prime were now certainly fearing the worst. Strangely, the Corps opted not to launch any attacks, and were simply biding their time on the hellish Blistica.
On May 12th, the Incineration Corps finally made its move. Just after the end of Operation Equilibrium, the
Incineration Corps on Blistica launched a sizable attack on Zzaniah Prime. A decently strong contingency of
Helldivers turned up to Zzaniah, but were then forced to turn away from the planet hours later after the unthinkable resurgence of the full
Illuminate invasion fleet on Widow's Harbor. With the Illuminate's true goal being the invasion of Super Earth itself, High Command declared a State of Emergency and ordered all Helldivers to defend against the gargantuan Illuminate assault. As such, Zzaniah Prime had fallen to the
Incineration Corps by May 13th, officially creating the Gellert Encirclement with both Zosma and Mintoria cut off from Federation Support.
