Emeria is one of the five planets that reside within the Kelvin Sector. It is the site for New Aspiration City, one of the Federation's first Maximum Security Cities. With no expense spared for surveillance and detection of dissidents, it is now an ironclad bastion of Freedom.
Topography and Astrography[]
The Copper Wastes of Emeria
Similar to Calypso, Vernen Wells, and Achird III, Emeria is a planet completely covered in copper-colored dunes and plateaus all across its surface. The lack of any major bodies of water outside of the ice accumulated in its poles has given rise to many exceptionally water-efficient organisms in its ecosystem. In between plateaus and the odd, abandoned cottage or encampment, various red shrubs can be found scattered between the rocks that litter the wastes.

Emeria was, up until August 2185, devoid of any proper cities. It's surface was mostly populated by loose colonist camps, urban settlements and scattered houses until the start of the MSC Project saw Emeria become the new home of New Aspiration City, a Tier 4 Mega City that houses millions of civilians looking for the safest place to inhabit in the Federation. New Aspiration City is one of three Maximum Security Cities in the Federation, having been built alongside New Yearning City on Fort Sanctuary and New Hope City on Fort Union.

The Emeria System consists of the planet Emeria itself, its moon and at least one other astronomical body, a red gas giant. Sitting at the very tail end of the Kelvin Sector, Emeria marks the North-westernmost point of the Galactic Core and its one of the many doorways leading into the heart of the Federation itself. It's protection is paramount to preventing another tragic invasion of Super Earth.
History[]
Second Galactic War[]

Time of Inactivity[]
Emeria was, for much of its recorded history, a peaceful planet colony in the western Galactic Mid Rim. Having been settled during the Great Democratization after the end of the First Galactic War, and although the initial colonists would eventually master their environment, they would truly prosper as other planets in the Federation had. It's initial colonies would remain small and isolated, giving the planet a sort of 'rustic' feel which is romanticized by adventurous comic books.
Even so, whilst it was not prosperous it was at least a quiet world and somewhat peaceful world, even after the outbreak of the second galactic war thanks to it's safe positioning and lack of strategic importance. However it is thanks to this relatively 'safe' positioning that true civilization would come to its copper deserts.
Operation Culling Nightmares[]
Though the dedication of the
Helldivers remains unwavering throughout the relentless assault on Managed Democracy, it would take its toll on our citizens' sense of well-being. The images of our cities in flames, and butchery of innocent citizens, broadcast on all news channels, are impossible to forget. Surveys indicated that citizens fears of invasion, disenfranchisement, and dismemberment of loved ones is at an all-time high.
It is for this reason that on the 25th of July, 2185 Super Earth Government would order the construction of Maximum Security Cities with ground being broken for the first three pilot Cities on Fort Union, Fort Sanctuary and Emeria almost immediately. With no expense spared for surveillance and detection of dissidents, these cities are expected to be ironclad bastions of Freedom. Alongside this would come a public relations campaign, meant to remind our citizens that they are protected by the Galaxy's greatest fighting force, but killing the enemies of Freedom that arise most frequently in citizen nightmares.
The vigorous, spirited efforts by the
Helldivers would have the desired effect as their acts of valor were being broadcast to all workplace and home televisions across the federation, showcasing the inspiring and visceral destruction of our enemies inflicted every day. With citizen nightmare incidences at a 6-month low, construction would begin in earnest on all three Maximum Security Cities: New Yearning City on Fort Sanctuary, New Aspiration City on Emeria, and New Hope City on the planet Fort Union.
All three of these cities have been designed by the Federation's preeminent security experts to be impregnable to dissidence and Tyranny: high-definition facial recognition cameras pre-installed in every block and building, increased foot and drone patrols, and dedicated surveillance satellites are just a few of the state-of-the-art safety features built into these fortresses of Democracy.
Thanks to these features and buoyed by the inspired feats of the
Helldivers, applications for residency would skyrocket. All applicants will of course be rigorously scanned with thorough background checks ensuring every resident is as patriotic and vigilant against dissidence as possible. Thanks to the
Helldivers, our citizens are once more reassured that their lives, livelihoods, and way of life is more secure than ever.

Operation Trooper Deatomization[]
On the 6th of August, 2185, the first residents would begin to populate the three Maximum Security Cities (MSCs) of New Hope City, New Aspiration City, and New Yearning City, on the planets Fort Union, Emeria, and Fort Sanctuary, respectively. As these trailblazing models of citizenship establish their families in these well-guarded metropolises, it was of vital importance that no agents of Tyranny mar the momentous proceedings.
While New Hope City and New Yearning City were far from enemy forces, citizens arriving to New Aspiration City on Emeria could not ignore the
Automatons menacing the neighboring Nanos Sector. High Command surmised that the
Automatons sought to intimidate our citizenry and derail the success of the MSC Project through manipulation of public perception.
As such the
Helldivers were ordered to clear the Nanos Sector of all Automaton belligerents, thereby establishing a secure buffer zone for New Aspiration City. Additionally, in order to prove to the
Automatons -- and the Federation at large-- that their brutish scare tactics are ineffective, the
Helldivers are ordered to destroy the designated number of Automaton Conscripts with the Railcannon Stratagem. The Federation of Super Earth would not be intimidated by robots!
Despite initial hurdles, the Operation would be a major success, with the Nanos Sector and a clear message sent to the
Automatons through a powerful show of force. Though
Automatons are incapable of emotion, intel indicated with a high degree of confidence that fear of death simulations had greatly increased in frequency and verisimilitude amongst the socialist collective. More importantly, the citizens of New Aspiration City were safe.
With this success, population of the Maximum Security Cities would begun in earnest. The streets bustled with safe families, more free of fear from dissidents than anywhere else in the Federation. Multi-angle, X-ray & infrared equipped, high-resolution security footage captures evidence of their prosperous lives beyond any doubt. Soon, the cities will be fully populated, however this is merely the beginning of the MSC Project. Identification of future sites is underway, as are plans to retrofit current cities with some of these security upgrades. A bright and more secure future awaits all our citizens, thanks to the
Helldivers.

Operation Ultrakill[]
However, Emeria was not to enjoy its newfound prosperity without the enemies of Freedom first wanting to violently rip it from its hands. Starting on August 22nd, Super Earth would see its space attacked from all three fronts at once. The
Automatons would begin their own offensive first towards Malevelon Creek but then redirecting back towards Emeria.
By August 27th, the Automatons had managed to reach Barabos and were besieging Borea, leaving Emeria effectively encircled. With the
Jet Brigade on one side and the
Incineration Corps on the other, the stage was set for one of the most crucial battles of the operation.

On August 28th, as the
Incineration Corps made their own push onto Borea, the
Jet Brigade attacked Emeria, launching a massive assault onto New Aspiration City and deploying the rest of their 10 accompanying batallions throughout the planets surface. The battle for New Aspiration City was fierce, with the rest of the planet also feeling the intensity of the fighting just the same. Despite the difficulty retaking New Aspiration City, the Helldivers would manage to repel the
Jet Brigade's assault on the planet, though at the cost of losing Borea to the Incineration Corps.
The next day, on August 29th, the
Incineration Corps would launch its own assault onto Emeria, now that they had effectively taken Borea. Now accompanied by 25 Automaton battalions, almost twice of the force accompanying the Jet Brigade before them, the Incineration Corps wreaked havoc upon the defenseless citizens of New Aspiration City, its patrols chasing them throughout the city and burning them alive where they stood.
The Helldivers, having now successfully stopped the Illuminate offensive at Seyshel Beach despite the loss of the planet, were now deploying at almost full force onto Emeria, with one half being left at the Terminid Front to contain an outbreak of the
Predator Strain. This second battle for Emeria would be fiercer than the previous, with most of the fighting concentrating on New Aspiration City itself, which was where the majority of the invading forces were concentrated and, if captured, would deal a devastating blow to the Automatons, guaranteeing the end of their offensive.

Amidst the battle, the Helldivers would manage to kill enough Automatons that their part of the Major Order would be completed, leaving only the number of Terminids left to be culled. Yet despite this, the fighting continued, knowing that if Emeria fell, the rest of the Kelvin Sector; their in-training brethren at Zegema Paradise within it, and perhaps Super Earth itself would follow.
The Helldivers would battle against the
Incineration Corps all throughout the planet, focusing on securing New Aspiration City as fast as possible. However. a setback soon presented itself once the Terminids attacked Fort Union and Sulfura, which required a number of Helldivers to relocate and set the campaign back to a point where conventional defense was no longer possible, with the only shot at victory being reliant on New Aspiration City itself.
By the evening of August 30th, New Aspiration City was secured, the
Incineration Corps and their forces on Emeria having been effectively disintegrated and forced to retreat and the Automaton offensive having been effectively frustrated and forced to stop, with plans for a counteroffensive already on the making.
