Effluvia is one of the five planets that reside within the Cancri Sector.
Topography[]
Like the other planets with the "Copper Desert", Effluvia has a dry, global desert, with no traces of waters, not rivers or any body of water, it is similar to Calypso, Emeria and Senge 23.
History[]
Second Galactic War[]
Operation Thrice as nice[]
After the fall of the Parsh system, the
Illuminate quickly attacked the Effluvia system, marking the first attack on a planet inside the Cancri Sector, this planet was crucial to the operation, because it has a direct FTL line to Seyshel Beach, and the planet has a FTL line to Fort Sanctuary, home to New Yearning, the
Illuminate's Front Maximum Security City.
The Liberation Campaign of November 2185[]

Effluvia had been occupied by the Illuminate for many months. The situation on this planet only worsened after the enemy captured the planet Seyshel Beach, forcing the Command to focus on preventing further advances by invading the planet Fort Sanctuary, home to one of the three Maximum Security Cities (and, may Lady Liberty bless its inhabitants, the only one that was not attacked during the Tripartite Offensive). As a result of extremely long and heavy fighting on Seyshel Beach, this world was wrested from the clutches of the Illuminate, and the day of its liberation (the 14th of October) became one of the most important commemorative dates, known as the Avengement Day.

With the elimination of the alien invaders' forces in the Cancri Sector, only one planet remained under the control of the
Illuminate: Effluvia. Despite the absence of orders regarding its liberation, small units of the Navy and Helldiver Corps attacked the enemy troops, which had been depleted as a result of the combat on Seyshel Beach. Periodically, they managed to liberate a few percent of the planet's territory, but even though they were significantly weakened, the Illuminate regained control of this territory each time. In this way, the fighting on the planet continued for a long time, but the situation was finally turned around on the 4th of November, when the Second Battle of Oshaune ended, resulting in the subjugation of the Hive World to
Super Earth.

After this landmark victory, part of the
S.E.A.F. units (including all military branches) headed to Effluvia to expel the occupiers. The progress of the liberation was quite slow, but it had already become permanent, which distinguished the situation from previous raid campaigns. In addition, the
Illuminate launched a massive offensive towards the Akira Sector after the issuance of a new Major Order from the Command to defend the planets Andar and Asperoth Prime located there, where it was planned to build complexes for the extraction of minerals, which are found in large quantities in the bowels of these planets. In the end, the squids did not achieve their goal and did not even occupy any of the planets in the Akira Sector, but unfortunately, the
Federation lost control of Hydrobius, which seriously weakened the defensive perimeter of Karlia, and Zea Rugosia, causing the excavation of ancient ruins on the planet to be interrupted and the buildings themselves to return to the control of the Illuminate.
A squad of Helldivers faces off against a huge horde of Illuminate, defending the extraction zone. November 13th, 2185.
Having eliminated the threat, a fairly large
S.E.A.F. contingent advanced on Effluvia to drive the squids out of the Cancri Sector and finally liberate the planet. A large-scale offensive unfolded across Effluvia: urbanised colonies, desert expanses, mesas, industrial, scientific, agricultural and other facilities became a battlefield between the
Illuminate occupying forces and SEAF.
The Helldivers played a key role in liberating this copper desert world, destroying huge masses of the enemy. The level of resistance from the squid terrorists, equal to 0.25%, prevented them from organising an effective defence anywhere, and therefore by 19:00 SEST on the 13th of November, 50% of the planet's territory had already been liberated, and by 09:05 SEST on the 14th of November, almost 67% of Effluvia's territory had been returned to Super Earth's control. This is also facilitated by a new Major Order, according to which it is necessary to collect 15 million common samples from planets controlled by the Illuminate, including their technologies, in order to refine the technologies for monitoring citizens in view of the sharp increase in opposition sentiment on the planets Gaellivare, Alta V, Diluvia, as well as to expand the
Centre for Civilian Surveillance and Safety on Mastia.

The gradual liberation of the planet continued throughout the 14th of November and ended on the 15th of November by 23:30 SEST. The
Illuminate were finally driven back from the Cancri Sector, which, among other things, strengthened the security of the Super Earth itself.
