Various currencies are used in Helldivers 2 to purchase in-game items.

All currencies can be earned through regular gameplay. Super Credits, which are used to purchase access to Warbonds or armor sets in the Superstore, can also be bought with real-world funds.

Each currency has a cap, beyond which no additional currency will be earned. Players may receive reminders through the Ship TV system or the HUD, encouraging them to spend the excess currency.

Requisition[]

Requisition Slips are a currency used in Helldivers 2 for acquiring Stratagems and Ship Modules. The maximum amount of Requisition Slips a player can hold is 50,000.

Acquiring Requisition Slips[]

  • Found inside special loot containers at Points of Interest
  • Earned by completing Primary and Secondary objectives
    • Mission payout also includes additional bonuses based on the number of Helldivers successfully extracted and the remaining mission time, with a multiplier determined by difficulty
    • Killing civilians during Evacuation objectives results in a penalty of 25 Requisition Slips per civilian, applied before the mission difficulty multiplier

Medals[]

Medals    are a currency used in Helldivers 2 for unlocking Warbond Content. Picking up Medals from Points of Interests will automatically add them to all present helldivers without the need to extract.

The maximum number of Medals a player can hold is 250. Once the cap is reached, notifications will continue to appear but will show 0 Medals earned.

Acquiring Medals[]

  • Earned by completing Missions (completing Missions in sequence within an Operation grants additional Medals)
  • Awarded for completing a Personal Order or a Major Order

Super Credits[]

Super Credits are a currency used in Helldivers 2 for the Superstore. They can be spent to purchase armor sets from the Superstore or to unlock Warbonds. Picking up Super Credits from Points of Interest automatically adds them to all present Helldivers—extraction is not required. There is currently no known maximum capacity for Super Credits.

Acquiring Super Credits[]

  • Purchased directly from the Super Credit tab in the Acquisition Center

Samples[]

Samples are a currency used in Helldivers 2 to permanently upgrade your Super Destroyer by acquiring Ship Modules. There are three types of Samples: Common Samples, Rare Samples, and Super Samples (also known as Super Uranium).

Unlike other currencies, all sample types are carried directly by the Helldiver who picks them up. They are dropped on the ground if the carrier dies or chooses to drop them using the Drop Menu. Dropped samples must be picked up again as needed and carried all the way into the extraction vehicle in order to be earned at the end of the mission. Any squadmate can pick up dropped samples, which are then added to their own container.

To reduce risk, it may be preferable to spread pickups among the players in the group. Samples can also be dropped at the Extraction Zone if the squad passes through it before completing the mission.

The total number of samples available and the number currently carried in the mission are displayed on the HUD, depending on settings. By default, the counter only appears briefly whenever a sample is picked up. The number of samples generated per mission depends on both difficulty and mission type—short missions like Eradicate typically contain far fewer samples and may not include every type, if any at all.

As with other currencies, all Helldivers will receive all samples earned at the end of the mission, regardless of who was carrying them. Successfully extracting with the samples is the only way to obtain them.

Common Samples are found on any difficulty. The current maximum amount of common samples the player can hold is 500. They can be located at:

  • Main and Side Objectives
  • Terminid Nests or Automaton Outposts

In the area of operations, samples can appear as plant-like bulbs on a stalk, small cases (prepared earlier by research teams), small worms on Terminid-controlled planets, or small machinery on Automaton-controlled planets.

Rare Samples are found on Challenging Difficulty and higher. The current maximum amount of rare samples the player can hold is 250. They can be acquired at:

  • Main and Side Objectives
  • Terminid Nests Automaton Outposts, or Illuminate landing locations

Rare samples may take the form of flowers or crystallized stones. They can also be found in locked areas such as secured bunkers, shipping containers, or ejection pods.

Super Samples , which look like liquid metal bulbs defying gravity, are found on Extreme Mission Difficulty and higher. The current maximum amount of Super Samples the player can hold is 100.

They can only be found at a very distinct rock formation. The number of super samples found depends of the current difficulty and can vary slightly.

  • Difficulty 6 [Extreme] 2-3 super samples
  • Difficulty 7 [Suicide] 3-4 super samples
  • Difficulty 8 [Impossible] 5 super samples
  • Difficulty 9 [Helldive] 6 super samples
  • Difficulty 10 [Super Helldive] 8-9 super samples

One type of rock has a bile-infused variation that has a chance to contain Super Samples. There can be multiple Super Sample rocks in a mission—typically two, and very rarely three. However, the samples will only ever appear at one of these locations and are never split between them. So, if you find one of these rocks and it has no samples, that means another one elsewhere on the map contains them.

Special items found in Mega Nests and Fortresses—namely, the Mutated Egg and an Automaton head filled with Confidential Data—will credit Helldivers with 2 Super Samples and 4 Rare Samples if delivered to an Extraction Shuttle.
