History[ | ]
Second Galactic War[ | ]
Prelude[ | ]
Curia was a strategically important planet since April 2184. When the Automatons launched their invasion of Cyberstan and began to push towards Super Earth, Curia was part of the supply line connecting Super Earth to the Western Front via Aesir Pass. During the numerous times Aesir Pass was attacked and occupied, Curia ensured supply access to the planet. With Aesir Pass haven fallen under Socialist occupation for several weeks by July, their forces were rapidly recovering from their previous encirclement disaster. Curia was the only clear way forward in the backwards minds of the red pest.
Operation Lighthouse[ | ]
Curia had been, up until August 2184, a stalwart front against the Automaton offensive, always standing strong against the consistent incursions from the Automatons. For several months, its colonists watched as, time and again, the Automatons would reach Aesir Pass, only to be repelled. However, as the war took its toll on the Helldivers and they began to be diverted back to the Terminid front amidst the appearance of The Gloom, the Automatons would put Curia through its hardest test yet.
As the Helldivers managed to rescue Socorro III, the Automatons, in a desperate attempt to rescue what little remained of their odious fief in the Trigon Sector, launched an assault on Curia on August 10th, punching through their defenses by the morning on August 11th.
Operation People's Shield[ | ]
Curia would not remain under the cruel grip of the Automatons for long. With Operation Prometheus being aborted due to counterfeit samples being delivered, Super Earth High Command would shift its focus towards the imminent Automaton threat that loomed on Curia. Deeming it intolerable for the robotic menace to advance any further, they would issue an order calling for the liberation of Curia while repelling any and all Automaton attacks.
Curia's liberation became more desperate on August 17th, as the Automatons attempted a massive onslaught on Tarsh, with Curia as their point of attack. During the first day of Tarsh's defense, the situation seemed disfavorable, as the Automaton forces, now equipped with more advanced Scout Striders and Missile-Firing tanks, would begin to crack Tarsh's defense. However, the Helldivers spotted a crucial opportunity on Curia. With Curia close enough to full liberation for it to be done in under 24 hours, the Helldivers would strategically split in two, with one group holding the Automatons back in Tarsh while the other went for Curia in order to accomplish a masterful gambit strategy that paid in spades.
On August 18th, Curia would be liberated, cutting the assaulting bots in Tarsh off their supply line to Cyberstan and granting Super Earth a much needed victory, as Curia's liberation would signify the complete liberation of the Marspira Sector and the successful deflection of the craven mechanized assault. However, this would not be the end of Curia's problems, as the Automatons that survived would withdraw to Vernen Wells and, on August 20th, sent a second assault onto Tarsh through a newly formed FTL line connecting Vernen Wells and Tarsh, while also launching an assault onto Curia, in a desperate attempt to hold on to their vanguard at the Marspira Sector.
Operation Ecological Immolation[ | ]
The Helldivers would manage to turn the tide and defend Curia, from where they then went on to capture Aesir Pass and Vernen Wells, leaving neighboring Tarsh cut off from the larger Automaton frontline which, eventually, paved the way for the complete liberation of the Marspira Sector during the last weeks of September.

Trivia[ | ]
- Curia surpassed Aesir Pass on August 10th as the farthest point into Super Earth space that Automaton forces have ever reached in the Second Galactic War, as well as surpassing Cirrus as the farthest point into Super Earth space that enemy forces have ever reached in the Second Galactic War, but was surpassed by Shallus on September 10th.
