| ~ Official Description |
Crimsica is one of the three planets that reside within the Draco Sector. Its landscape is scattered with rocky mesas topped with crimson grass. Crimsica ranks in fifth place for the most Helldivers killed in action on its surface, with 126,344,945
Helldivers dead as of July 31st, 2185.
Topography and Astrography[]

Crimsica's topography consists of large, open swaths of rocky hills, intersected by large mountain ranges. Its only flora is the crimson red algae which covers most of its surface. It is devoid of trees or any other large flora. The surface is lightly covered in a medium-thick greenish-gray fog, which somewhat reduces visibility. It is also prone to sudden bursts of rainshowers.
One of the few beaches in Crimsica.
Its geography is mostly mountainous stretches of rocky terrain, with both small and large hilltops covered in boulders. While Crimsica does have oceans, they are uncommon and are often surrounded by large cliffs. Finding beaches is difficult but not impossible, with the ones that can be found providing a stunning view of its beauty.
Crimsica is home to 2 Mega Cities, which will be mentioned next by Tier. Mega City Tiers have no effect on level generation and only serve to determine a city's health pool in the galactic war map. These cities are the Settlement of Lil'ome and the planetary capital City of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II. While only amounting to roughly 50% of campaign progress when both cities are secured, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II is only unlocked at 70% of a campaign's progress. This means that it will only be able to be secured once any invading forces are 70% of the way through a defense or when Super Earth forces are 70% of the way through a liberation campaign, should Crimsica fall. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II grants a flat 40% campaign progress when liberated, which can often mean that the liberation of this city will often complete Crimsica's liberation by itself, making it invaluable during liberation campaigns. Besides these Mega Cities, Crimsica is home to multiple E-710 processing plants and farms, as well as having multiple urban settlements scattered across its surface to house its rural population.
The Crimsica system consists of the planet Crimsica itself and at least 4 more astronomical bodies, which are a gas giant, an ice giant, a white rocky planet and a volcanic moon that orbits just beyond Crimsica's ring system.
Prior to the failure of the Terminid Control System, Crimsica was a valuable power position to control, as it sat right on the corner of the Draco Sector, linking Meridia and Acamar IV together and acting as an important checkpoint between the Jin Xi Sector and the Barrier Planets. After the failure of the Terminid Control System and all the events that happened around the
Meridian Singularity and The Gloom, Crimsica has now been left isolated yet more crucial than ever. With Meridia gone and the Gloom right on its doorstep, Crimsica serves as the vanguard against any Gloom outbursts and, along with Estanu, is a crucial flank to control whenever the
Xenoentomology Centre in Turing or the
Factory Hub at Achernar Secundus are being targeted by the Terminid horde, as its link to Acamar IV makes it an essential chokepoint to keep the incoming bugs at bay. However, due to Fori Prime's link to Gacrux (established during Operation Hive Breaker by the Terminids), Crimsica's former control over the access to the Jin Xi Sector is no longer total and can be easily circumvented by the Terminids should Gacrux fall.
History[]
Special Military Operations prior to the Second Galactic War[]

Operation Guardian[]
Crimsica was, prior to the Terminid Outbreak of February 2184, a humble planet colony of Super Earth in the Draco Sector. Having been settled by citizens whose ancestry can be traced back to the now uninhabitable British Isles after the end of the First Galactic War, Crimsica's history wouldn't really have many moments worthy of note during the Great Expansion Era, the only notable events being the foundation of the settlements that later became the cities of Lil'ome and the planetary capital of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II.
However, this humble history wouldn't spare Crimsica, nor the Draco Sector, from the claws of Democracy's sworn enemy:
The Terminid Horde. On February 8th, 2184, multiple Terminid outbreaks ocurred all over the Eastern Galactic Rim. The Sten, Draco and Mirin Sectors were overrun and the SEAF would have to withdraw all the way to Cirrus in the Celeste Sector.
Crimsica, like neighboring Estanu and the rest of the Draco Sector, was largely unreachable by the SEAF until the successful installation of the Terminid Control System (TCS). Shortly after Operation Prime Liberation, Civilian Biomass Collection Teams (CBCTs) were deployed to Crimsica to gather and process inert Terminids for research. The Helldivers were tasked with liberating the planet to protect them, which they did effortlessly.
After the withdrawal of both CBCTs and Helldivers, Crimsica fell back into the Terminids' claws. The planet became a low-priority target as SEAF personnel were shifted to other areas, defending against Terminid offensives on neighbouring Estanu and participating in Operation Swift Disassembly against Automatons in the Xzar and Severin Sectors.
Operation Acreage[]

Once Operation Swift Disassembly concluded, Super Earth High Command took steps toward the provision of more efficient services, which required constructing improved E-710 plants. Crimsica, alongside Hellmire and neighbouring Estanu, was selected as one of the recipients of these new farms.
Despite the operation's success, the peace would not last. As the Automaton Invasion of Cyberstan reignited the Western Front, Crimsica continued to be assaulted by the fascistic insectoids. It was the site of much of the slaughter during Operation Organic Harvest, in which the Helldivers valiantly and mercilessly exterminated two billion Terminids in under 24 hours.
During Operation Enduring Bulwark, Crimsica and neighboring Estanu saw the conducting of constant liberation and defensive operations. Despite the indescribable suffering and destruction caused by the Terminid menace, the colonists of Crimsica would not yield, not once faltering in the face of the mindless, ravenous insect hordes.
Failure of the Terminid Control System[]
After the unexpected failure of the TCS, the Draco System was sadly overwhelmed by the reinforced bug onslaught. After evacuating the surviving colonists, Super Earth was forced to withdraw from the Draco Sector, with Crimsica being lost to the fascist menace.
Second Galactic War[]

Operation Enduring Peace[]
Crimsica and the Draco Sector remained under Terminid occupation through the month of May 2184, with the planet seeing serious damage to its environment. However, the horrors would not last, as Crimsica's salvation would come from an unlikely source. On May 30th, the Helldivers would make use of a new superweapon in order to destroy the Terminid Supercolony: The Dark Fluid.
Immediately after Meridia was destroyed, the Helldivers opened two fronts for a counterattack on the Draco and Mirin Sectors: One being a liberation campaign on Hellmire, the other being simultaneous liberation efforts on both Crimsica and Estanu.
Operation Hive Breaker[]
After reestablishing freedom on the Umlaut Sector and some much needed victories on the Automaton Front, the Helldivers would receive a major order requiring the liberation of 5 planets: Hellmire, Fori Prime, Nivel 43, Estanu and Crimsica. Crimsica would be fortunate enough to be chosen as the first planet to be liberated from the fascist alien insectoids, with its liberation arriving on June 16th.
Falstaff and Jin Xi Lockdown[]
However, it would not last for long. Fori Prime, always rebellious and very resistant to Liberty, would fall sometime around June 28th and then, almost by instinct, would send a Terminid spore barrage right towards Crimsica, where it made landfall on June 29th. The Helldivers, focused on securing the neighboring sector of Jin Xi at the time, could not heed its calls for aid and, comprehensively, Crimsica would fall once more, remaining under Terminid control since.

Operation Starslayer[]
During Operation Starslayer onwards, Crimsica would remain under Terminid control, causing further complications in the Terminid front. During the final week of June and the first 2 weeks of August, Crimsica's brood of Terminids would make repeated attempts to invade Acamar IV, none of them succeeding and, at a certain point, allowing the Helldivers to push back into Crimsica, getting it all the way up to 98% liberation before Operations Liberty Crush and Vengeful Cleansing ordered the Helldivers away, sparing the Terminids in Crimsica from obliteration at the last minute.
Operation Prometheus[]
However, showing mercy to the fascistic insects would, as always, prove to be a grave mistake. When the Helldivers did an extraordinary display of mercy, the Bugs spat on Liberty's face and launched an assault onto Estanu on August 13th, now being bolstered by the malevolent Gloom, its putrid aura of intergalactic Terminid spores apparently giving them more fuel to the fire that is their innate hatred for Freedom. With the Automaton Front being in a more stable position and with Socorro III having been successfully rescued from the bugs, Super Earth High Command would issue a major order requesting the collection of 10 million Rare or Super Rare samples on Crimsica.
However, as always, treason would spell doom for Crimsica. Not even 30 minutes into Operation Prometheus, traitors submitted a high number of counterfeit samples, provoking the abortion of the Operation and snatching Crimsica's chance for liberation out of its grip since now that the Helldivers didn't have any orders, they chose to divert towards the defense of Estanu, leaving Crimsica's liberation to lose all of its progress.
Operation Brute Force[]
Crimsica would have to endure another 4 days of horros as, while the Helldivers were diverted towards Troost and Vandalon IV, they also had to help defend and repel Terminid attacks on other planets, which pretty much left Crimsica helpless. However, its chance for liberty would soon appear, as the Helldivers would be promptly turned back towards the Terminid Front in order to contain the ever-growing Gloom, which was now growing uncontrollably.
On August 22nd, Crimsica would be finally liberated from Terminid occupation, which helped prevent further Gloom expansion.
Operation Ring of Freedom[]
Crimsica remained a stalwart frontier world against the Terminids ever since its liberation, being right at the edge of the Gloom in the Draco Sector yet experiencing an uneasy armed peace, as Fori Prime's unknown status still presented a threat to its safety. Its proximity to Turing, the site of a newly built Xenoentomology Center devoted to the creation of new Alcubierre Drives for the Democracy Space Station, and its direct FTL line to Acamar IV, which was designated to be the new Terminid Research Preserve, meant that Crimsica would be designated as a priority target for the Helldivers during Operation Ring of Freedom.
Crimsica would be suddenly attacked from within the Gloom on October 16th, alongside Estanu. Given Crimsica's connection to Acamar IV, the Terminids would concentrate mostly on attempting to capture Crimsica, which meant that the Helldivers were forced to abandon Estanu to its own devices. Crimsica would be successfully defended on October 17th, after heavy casualties and 22 hours of fighting.

Operation Courageous Exodus[]
With Crimsica secured, the Terminid Research Preserve could continue its work unimpeded. However, this situation would not last long. Following the apparition of the Jet Brigade on the Automaton Front, Gacrux and Pandion-XXIV would fall, which left Acamar IV exposed to the Gloom's influence. However, the Helldivers would manage to plug this gap before any significant damages were made by the bugs.
Despite this, the Terminids would redouble their efforts and, aided by a spore surge from within the Gloom, would launch a massive offensive onto the Barrier Planets. On November 7th, shortly after the fall of Esker, Crimsica would be assaulted alongside Estanu, the Terminids still determined to breach the Terminid Research Preserve.
For the first 18 hours of the assault, it looked like Crimsica had been abandoned to its own devices by the Helldivers, as the bugs made tremendous advances. However, once Estanu fell, the Helldivers began to relocate to Crimsica immediately as the Bugs had begun the final, slower phase of their assault. The defense was tense and chaotic, as the Helldivers rushed to take over crucial positions in Crimsica as quickly as possible, scuttling several Super Destroyers in the process in order for the crashing wrecks to take out as many of the fascist insectoids as possible.
After 4 hours of intense orbital bombardments and on-the-ground combat, the Helldivers managed to miraculously repel the assault less than 30 minutes before the Terminids managed to reach the threshold of fascism necessary to take over Crimsica.
Operation Spark of Liberty[]
Crimsica would remain free following its liberation, as the Terminids had been seemingly repelled and they made no additional attempts on Crimsica. However, beyond its sector's borders, Crimsica's perdition had been brewing all along. All told, more SEAF resources were diverted to the Western Front as the
Automatons took advantage of the Helldiver attention in the East to build a new strike force known as the Jet Brigade. The strike force stomped through federation territory, and while they were defeated, the Automatons still possessed the means to build a new Brigade, one that could directly threaten the construction of the Democracy Space Station. As such, Crimsica and the rest of the Terminid Front went on relatively quietly, save for the re-liberation of Pandion-XXIV and Gacrux.
On November 12th, in the middle of a busy day for the Tyranny Park, a massive underground Terminid hive erupted spontaneously, leading to a bloody massacre of visitors and park staff alike. Acamar IV was overrun in mere minutes, which prevented the nuclear security measures from being activated and allowed the Terminids to take over the planet without any impediment. Once Acamar IV fell, it launched 5 simultaneous attacks onto all of the planets connected to it. The catastrophic breach was deviously timed, as a rebuilt Automaton Jet Brigade returned in massive numbers, stomping through Tarsh with the largest enemy invasion fleet seen to date from either front of the war. With the Brigade advancing toward the DSS on Gaellivare and the Eastern Front in crisis, the Helldivers were forced to make a tough decision.
The painting was clear on the wall that the Helldivers had to act quick before more damage had to be done. Despite Acamar's positioning, High Command gave the indication to protect the Xenoentomology Center at Turing by all means, as it still contained critical research material on the Terminids, pretty much dooming Acamar IV and all of its attached planets to perdition.
Expectedly, with the Helldivers focused on saving the critical research material at Turing, Crimsica would be lost to the Terminids by the afternoon of the following day, in a massive disaster that took millions of lives and undid all the progress achieved in the past 3 months.
Operation Balance of Liberty[]
Following the disaster at Acamar IV, Crimsica was left to fall to the Terminid invasion, as the Helldivers had to return to the Automaton front in order to secure the DSS. For 9 days, Crimsica was stuck in a deadlock, as the Helldivers battled against the Terminids at Acamar IV and the Jet Brigade at Gaellivare. It wouldn't be until the liberation of Imber on November 20th that the Helldivers would finally be able to resume containment missions back in the Terminid Front.
Given Crimsica's symbolic status within the Helldiver Corps as a twin planet to Estanu, the Helldivers would choose to deploy the main fleet and the Democracy Space Station on it first, even enacting an Orbital Blockade as an additional preventive measure. After 24 hours of grueling combat, Crimsica would be liberated once again.
Operation Vermintide[]
With all of 2184 now behind Super Earth, Crimsica's noble citizens began to recover from what was a shocking, deadly, and grueling year for the beautiful world. Rebuilding their pastures, homesteads and colonial cities, the war passed Crimsica by in large part. All told, the end of 2184 was quiet both on both the East and West. The stories of colonists strangely disappearing from the galactic frontier would be explained most tragically as the Illuminate made a shocking return to the galaxy, destructively raiding our worlds in the South and kidnapping colonists to turn them into Voteless combatants. The return of the dreaded Illuminate necessitated a constant Helldiver presence in the galactic South to repel the Illuminate hit-and-run campaign, leaving the East and West in a strange stagnancy as both the Terminids and Automatons remained quiet through the end of the year.
Into January 2185, the Terminids expanded their plague to the East in the Farsight Sector while also pushing through the Umlaut and Orion sectors. The Helldivers mobilized to the front, doing their best to mitigate the damage from the Terminid offensive.
Just at the end of February, the Terminids revealed a new dastardly foe emerging from The Gloom dubbed the Predator Strain. Featuring mutated, swifter, and more intelligent bugs, the Helldivers were challenged by this new enemy on Fenrir III. As per usual, the Helldivers demonstrated why they are the most phenomenal fighting force in the galaxy, comfortably dispatching the Predator Strain after 35 hours of fighting.
Following the successful protection of Fenrir, the Helldivers finally made their first foray into The Gloom, punching through the massive interstellar spore cloud on Fori Prime. The Helldivers were exposed to yet another different strain of Terminids- the Spore Burst strain, an agile and dangerous strain of bugs challenging the Corps. After 6 days of grueling extermination, sample collection, and liberation, the Helldivers finally briefly freed Fori Prime- an achievement marking a massive military and scientific achievement for Super Earth.
In March 2185, the Terminid front went on somewhat quietly on the whole. The Western Front became the focus after it was strangely quiet for 3 months, as the Automatons launched multiple massive offensives into Federation space led by a new detachment even more deadly than the Jet Brigade and possibly even the Predator Strain: The Incineration Corps, a new faction of Automatons equipped with incendiary weaponry and artillery. Led by the new incendiary bots, the Automatons stomped through federation space, taking over the Ymir and Andromeda sectors, making it all the way to Troost in the Trigon Sector, and even reaching as far as Ingmar in the Xzar Sector, one of the sectors of their introductory crimes in the galaxy. As such, the Helldivers were forced to turn West, leaving the East to its own devices for the most part to contain the unchecked Automaton advance.
With the Automatons somewhat contained and their offensive defeated for the time being, the Helldivers turned back to the East as High Command finally authorized the second expedition into The Gloom on Nivel 43. With operation success imperative so that the Helldivers could stop the Illuminate's movement of the Meridian Singularity once and for all, the Helldivers deployed in Nivel en masse. After nearly 5 days of grueling combat against both the Predator Strain and the Spore Burst strain, the Helldivers were victorious once more, once again providing a huge military success for Super Earth.
Unfortunately, this success seemed to somehow anger the mindless Terminid plague- much to the detriment of Crimsica. Roughly 12 hours after Nivel's liberation, the Terminids launched a brazen attack across the federation speared by the Predator Strain. The bugs first made landfall on the recently liberated Esker, and just minutes after that attack began, Crimsica faced an even more powerful attack with 15 million broods falling to the planet's surface and the Predator Strain making their first appearance on the world.

Operation Gloom Piercer[]
Crimsica was liberated sometime in June and continued in its peacetime for about a month, despite two Terminid infested planets neighboring it. However, on the midnight of July 31st, 2185, the
Terminids launched a surprise attack from Fori Prime, its size being determined to be around 50 million broods.
Then, roughly 12 hours later, the amount of Spore Burst Scavengers on Crimsica increased greatly, marking the second time they have appeared outside of the Gloom, the first time being on Acamar IV the day prior. Given how Acamar IV was still being defended by that pont, the first 12 hours of the assault on Crimsica went mostly unattended by the Helldivers, as Acamar IV's position made it critical for safeguarding Turing.
In the first hours of the assault, the Terminids were concentrated on the planetary capital of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II and would advanced mostly unimpeded. By the end of the day, the Terminids had now advanced into the settlement of Lil'ome and were poised to capture the planet, however, Acamar IV's defense would succeed and drive the Terminids back, allowing the Helldivers to safely pivot onto Crimsica, deploying en masse onto the city of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II in hopes of securing the planet's capital and culling a significant portion of the invading hordes.
As the Terminid hordes advanced, the settlement of Lil'ome also came under attack from the Bugs. Despite the Helldivers' successful defense of Lil'ome, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II wouldn't be defended, while Crimsica at large was overrun and, by August 2nd, the entire planet had fallen to the Terminids, with the Helldivers being forced to evacuate and relocate towards Achernar Secundus and Turing in order to protect them from incoming Terminid onslaughts as per the Major Order objectives.
Operation Lost World[]
Strategic Opportunity - Liberation of Crimsica[]
Although most of the Helldiver Corps would be focused on liberating Bore Rock in preparation of the construction of Tyranny Park 2, by the 13th of August the new Helldiver Training Center on Zegema Paradise had become fully operational and operating at greater capacity than the former Martian facility. However, the increased throughput meant the rate of Helldivers entering the Corps was now exceeding that of Helldivers exiting it, leading to a surplus of in-stasis units. To balance these rates, and increase the strength of the Helldiver Corps, the Super Earth Government would authorize a historic expansion of the Super Destroyer Fleet.
However this massive fleet expansion would also increase galactic E-710 requirements. To shore up FTL fuel stockpiles, the Helldivers were ordered to liberate Crimsica to enable the establishment of a new E-710 farm there, where Terminids would be securely raised to provide sustainable, renewable access to this key resource. Additionally, to prevent the catastrophic outcomes of previous E-710 farm endeavors, nuclear devices would be pre-installed within each facility and automatically detonated in the event of a containment breach.
The Helldivers alongside other elements of the
S.E.A.F. would land on Crimsica less than an hour later, immediately beginning cleansing operations in the settlement of Lil'ome in order to clear a beachhead for incoming reinforcements. The city would be liberated just before midnight, providing a solid launching point for further offensive operations across the planet. Within just 8 hours after the issuing of this secondary order, Lil'ome was liberated and allowed Super Earth forces to establish a beachhead and begin planetwide operations.
Planetary Liberation would progress steadily on the 14th, although a stubborn offensive to retake the planetary capital of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch II would delay planetary liberation efforts until the 15th of August. In the final hours of the campaign, a sudden outbreak of the
Predator Strain on Acamar IV would threaten to encircle
S.E.A.F. on Crimsica, but by this point planetary liberation was all but assured.
With the planet's full Liberation achieved, construction on a new and much more secure E-710 farm could commence, along with a fleet of new Super Destroyers. Once complete, this fleet expansion will mean that more
Helldivers can spread Managed Democracy simultaneously. The strongest fighting force in the Galaxy will soon be even stronger.
Operation This Belongs in a Museum[]
On October 13th, 2185, Gloom Spores were noted on the planet of Crimsica, and the valiant forces of Super Earth were called into the fire once more.
After the rightful liberation of Gacrux from the
Terminids, and the gloom withdrawal from the planet, the tyrannical
Terminids quickly mobilized on the border between Oshaune and Hellmire, starting an outbreak on the planet. Not long after, the
Terminids, in a desperated attempt to redirect
Helldivers from the defense of Hellmire, attacked Crimsica with a Level 28 attack (1,250,000 HP), and a 48 Hour timer, giving the valiant
Helldivers only 2 days to protect the planet.
After the successful defense of Hellmire against the
Terminids, the
Helldivers quickly moved to Crimsica, turning the tide of the defense, putting it in favor of the
Federation, and after the liberation at 20:50 SEST of the Lil'Ome Settlement, a small but decisive advance was made in the defense, and, at 14:21 SEST, the remaining
Terminids were swiftly erradicated from the planet, giving the divers another crushing victory over the bugs.
Operation Relentless Uproot[]
Crimsica would remain unbothered by the Terminids for a grand total of 15 days. Shortly after Liberty Day, Super Earth High Command would issue the final order for Helldivers to liberate the Hive World of Oshaune once and for all. Unfortunately, this Major Order would soon spiral into disaster. During the first 2 days of the Operation, progress was slow and, only 20% of the way through, the offensive would come to a grinding halt as outbreaks of the
Rupture Strain quickly overwhelmed Terrek and Gacrux. Then, on the morning of October 30th, a third outbreak of the Rupture Strain soon made planetfall on Crimsica, forcing the Helldivers to divert manpower towards the crucial red planet.
Despite the valiant sacrifice of manpower, the planet's defenses weren't projected to last more than 48 hours. Even then, the Helldivers would do the best they could to try and stop the advancing Terminids. On the midnight of October 31st, they successfully crushed the Terminid attack at the Settlement of Lil'ome, raising hopes that the planet could be successfully defended from the Terminids.

Trivia[]
- Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, often shortened to Llanfairpwllgwyngyll or Llanfairpwll, is a village and community on the Isle of Anglesey, Wales. With 58 characters split into 18 syllables, the small town is purported to have the longest name in Europe and the second longest one-word place name in the world. In English, it translates to "St. Mary's Church in the hollow of white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio near the red cave."
