Conduct Geological Survey is a Mission in Helldivers 2. It is one of the handful of missions that can be found on nearly every difficulty. It has a bare minimum of two steps: Deploy and Activate Seismic Probe and Deploy and Activate the Prospecting Drill. The Seismic Probe is always the first step, and if playing on higher difficulties, can require multiple probes be deployed before the Helldiver can go to the Drilling objective.

Deploy Seismic Probe is a Sub-Objective of the Conduct Geological Survey Mission. First, the Helldiver must go to the designated location(s) shown on the map to deploy the Seismic Probe(s). Once in the area, an Objective Stratagem will become available and must be called to deploy the Probe. Once the Probe has landed, the Helldiver must interact with the terminal and input the proper directional code to begin the probing process. It should be noted that once the Probe begins its process, a single bug breach will occur and the Helldiver must defend themselves until the breach has been cleared or the probe has finished its deployment process. Once the process is complete, and if there are no other Probes that need to be deployed, the final objective will become active and the Helldiver must make their way to it.

Acquire Soil Scan Data is a Primary Objective of the Conduct Geological Survey Mission. Once at the designated objective area, once again another Objective Stratagem will become available to the Helldiver to call in the Drill. Once it has landed, the terminal must be interacted with several times to complete the objective. The drill has three harvesting phases, each one requiring the Helldiver to manually start after the previous one has completed. It should be noted that similar to the Seismic Probe, each time the Helldiver starts a new drill, a new bug breach will occur and they must defend themselves from the ensuing onslaught. Once all three harvests have been completed, the Helldiver must upload each via the terminal and the objective will be completed.
