Charbal-VII is one of the five planets that reside within the Andromeda Sector. This planet was theorized to be on path of Automatons attempting to reach Cyberstan from their once existing position in Severin Sector. Officially, the Second Galactic War arrived to this planet on

Topography

The planet is covered in brown rocks and sand, stained yellow from the constant acidic environment. The skies are dense and dark and stained a teal color. Many mushroom shaped mountains and hilly structures cover the landscape, with rough flatter land in between. The lowlands are often filled with acid filled craters and terraced lakes. Helldivers should be aware of the threats posed by low visibility, acid rain, and potential drowning risks.

The Cavern of Death is a natural bottleneck on the northern eastern side of Charbel-VII, it sits in the lowlands section of the planet to the right side of a Major Automaton Command Bunker. It is infamous for its extremely high amount of deaths associated with its drastic change of combat. In the lowlands, the planet offers a dune-like topography with minimal visibility, often cloaking the Cavern of Death with a acidic haze which attributes to its high death count.

The Cavern of Death is less than a quarter mile in length, and about 8ft wide at its shortest point. Its walls from right to left stand almost 30 feet high. Many helldivers have succumbed to death within the Cavern, given the rapid change in combat conditions, as its drastic change to extreme CQB combat is not common for the planet as a whole. While it does have a secondary exit point directly east, its incline is incredibly steep, slowing down any attempt to escape.

History

Second Galactic War

Automaton Invasion of Cyberstan (April 2184)

Charbal-VII was attacked by small automaton invasion force on early hours of April 22nd, 2184. Helldivers were by then split between besieged Menkent, Estanu and Choepessa IV together with Liberation of The Wells. With decision being made that Charbal is of low priority, only small detachment of Divers stayed and assisted SEAF. Planetary forces were overwhelmed the next day.

Operation Righteous Expunge (July 18th - July 21st)

Light of Liberty has returned to this part of Andromeda Sector on July 20th. The encircled Automatons without any material support from Cyberstan, were not able to push back our forces, making every gain permanent. With last socialist gone on evening of July 20th, Helldivers redeployed to last target of operation - Choepessa IV.
