Caramoor is one of the five planets that reside within the Korpus Sector.

Topography

Similar to Phact Bay and late Moradesh. Caramoor is home to three mega cities. Mega City Tiers have no effect on level generation:

• Pioneer's Dream (Tier 3)
• Lemuria Rising (Tier 3)
• Base Camp 8 (Tier 3)

History

Second Galactic War

Caramoor was a peaceful planet colony of Super Earth in the Eastern Galactic Mid Rim. Having been settled during the Great Democratization at the end of the First Galactic War, its initial colonists would have to learn how to harness the merciless heat of the desert and, as generations passed, built their way to prosperity.

The base camps and boom towns founding after planet-fall grew over the years, absorbing nearby settlements and eventually developing into the cities of Base Camp 8, Pioneer's Dream and the planetary capital of Lemuria Rising.

Operation Pest Control

However, Caramoor's fate was not to remain in peace forever. Early in February 2184, with the Initial Terminid Outbreak, the Korpus Sector saw itself forced to cut all of its FTL Lanes in order to prevent the spread of the infestation. This decision would prove most correct, as the Terminids would be kept at bay within the Orion and Celeste Sectors for the first year of the war. However, come 2185 and, with the troubles caused by the return of the Illuminate and the subsequent Invasion of Super Earth, luck soon turned against Caramoor and the rest of its neighbors.

During the Battle of Super Earth, the SEAF had to recall all of its forces towards the capital, leaving an opening for the Terminids nestled at the neighboring Celeste Sector to attack. On June 13th, with the fall of Alta V after 2 days of fearsome combat, a Predator Strain onslaught immediately made planetfall on Caramoor, launching strikes at Pioneer's Dream and other regions of the planet.

• February 8th, 2184: Caramoor is connected by FTL to Volterra.
• June 13th, 2184: FTL line to Volterra is destroyed.
• June 10th, 2185: FTL line to Volterra is re-established, plus a new line to Alta V.

Trivia

• Caramoor is the name of an estate and performing arts center located in Katonah, New York. It was originally the country home of Walter and Lucie Rosen, and the name was derived from the name of the previous owner's mother, Caroline Moore Hoyt, with "Cara Amore" (Italian for "dear love") as inspiration.
• Lemuria refers to a hypothetical lost continent, often associated with the Indian Ocean, that was theorized to connect Madagascar and India.
• Based on the names of Base Camp 8 and Pioneers Dream, both were likely founded after planet fall as a base camp and boom town respectively, eventually developing into the cities that they are today.
