~ Official Description |
Bekvam III is one of the four planets that reside within the Nanos Sector. On February 25, 2185, it became the first planet in the Nanos Sector to be attacked by the Automatons.
Topography[]
Bekvam is defined by its tall trees carrying leaves in a jarring violet color. The planet contains many vast lakes and oceans, providing plenty of arable land for its colonists to build farms on.
The planet has overall similar features with Turing, Tibit, and Zefia.
History[]
Second Galactic War[]

Bekvam III was one of the many western colonies of the Federation of Super Earth that were once settled during the Great Democratization after the end of the First Galactic War. However, following that, its story would remain pretty uneventful for the next 100 years until the start of the Second Galactic War. Early in April, with the
Automaton Invasion of Cyberstan, Bekvam III soon found the
Automatons knocking on their doorstep once they flanked the Menkent Line and violently conquered the neighboring Andromeda Sector as they headed west towards their old possessions at the Xzar and Severin Sectors.
Given Bekvam's position between Marfark and Martale, its Colonial Overseer coordinated with his counterparts in the rest of the Nanos Sector and completely disconnected themselves from the Federal FTL Network, preventing the Automatons from expanding towards Super Earth and keeping Bekvam III and, by extension, the Nanos Sector safe from the horrors of the war, at least during the first year. However, this peace wasn't fated to last.
Operation Good Samaritan[]
On February 25th, 2185, Bekvam III was attacked by an Automaton invasion fleet coming from Marfark, in the midst of an Automaton offensive that was being carried out by the socialist machines in an attempt to capitalize in the
Helldivers' constant diversions with both the Dark Energy Crisis with the Meridian Singularity, the
Illuminate raids in the Southern Sectors and the ongoing Gloom Expedition and the surging
Terminid offensives in the Eastern Fringe.

The Automatons deployed an impressive force of 24 battalions while also sending an additional contingent towards nearby Charon Prime in hopes of opening a flank into Julheim through Charbal-VII in case their assault at Bekvam III failed. Given Bekvam's immediate connection to both target planets, Julheim and Duma Tyr, the
Helldivers immediately relocated both the main fleet and the
Democracy Space Station onto Bekvam and initiated defensive operations on the planet. They would manage to turn the situation around by the early hours of February 26th, although at the cost of losing Charon Prime to the
Automatons. However, since the Helldivers had activated the DSS Orbital Blockade and relocated it onto Charon Prime, the Automatons were pinned without much options to attack and with their forces on Charon Prime caught in a stalemate.
This deadlock wouldn't last long as, during the evening of February 26th, the Automatons at Marfark resupplied and sent another invasion fleet, also 24 battalions strong, onto Bekvam III, forcing the Helldivers to drop the campaign at Charon in order to prevent the Automatons from capturing the crucial chokepoint planet. For 17 hours, the
Helldivers fought against the devious robots with all their might yet the situation seemed lost, as the Helldivers hadn't managed to accrue enough manpower to properly repel the invasion fleet.
However, Liberty's will was not for its loyal defenders to fail. A sudden and unexpected collapse in Automaton capabilities would immediately cripple their advance both on Bekvam III and on Charbal-VII, which was now being attacked by the
Automatons at Charon Prime after the Orbital Blockade ran out of supplies and was deactivated.
With this one in a million chance, the Helldivers would immediately repel the assault on Bekvam III and liberate Charon Prime, ending the assault on Charbal-VII in a miraculous save that quickly made history among the Helldiver Corps and the larger S.E.A.F..
Following this miracle, all Galactic campaigns would be put on standby by order of High Command as they launched an investigation. So far the latest intel indicates that this lapse was caused by a routine update to the Automatons' Operating System and whilst the enemy has since regained full fighting capacity, the bolstered S.E.A.F. continue to hold their ground, ensuring that no territory will be lost (yet also no meaningful gains made) for the next few days.
Operation Tormenta de Fuego[]
Following a couple pauses in the Galactic War, Bekvam would find itself thrust back into the conflict from the same side as they were once before. The Automatons, seeing an opening after the
Helldivers were diverted towards the
Terminid Front in order to defend the planets in which the Penrose Energy Siphon was being constructed, would launch a massive attack onto planets in the western sectors on March 20th. This atrocious attack would be spearheaded by a new, horrid detachment of Automatons called the
Incineration Corps, a new battalion of
Automaton Troopers, Hulks and Devastators all equipped with incendiary weapons and munitions and programmed with the sole mission directive of burning Liberty to cinders.
The Helldivers would be split too thin to really contain any assault, as not only were the Automatons attacking Martale, Wasat and Bekvam III simultaneously, but the Helldivers had also been given alternative orders to gather E-710 for the Penrose Energy Siphon to be activated.
The little Helldiver formations that could do so decided to assist with Bekvam's defense, while the small majority of Helldivers decided to concentrate their efforts on Martale. While Bekvam and Wasat fell the following day, Martale would be defended and allowed the
Helldivers to concentrate on pursuing the
Incineration Corps as they funneled towards the Nanos Sector.
From Bekvam III, the Incineration Corps sent out a massive triple attack towards Charon Prime, Duma Tyr and Julheim on March 21st 2185, splitting their forces to do so. However, the
Automatons had already taken Vega Bay and were well in their way to taking Wezen, which further complicated things for the Helldivers as they now had to contend with 4 simultaneous assaults. Despite there being strategic advisory to take Bekvam III, the
Helldivers decided to pursue the
Incineration Corps directly, further subdividing their forces. While the
Helldivers managed to destroy part of the
Incineration Corps at Duma Tyr, the rest of the
Automatons at Julheim and Charon Prime successfully captured their respective planets on March 22nd, 2185.
However, before the Incineration Corps could move further, the fraction of
Helldivers that had stayed behind at Bekvam III would successfully reliberate the planet on March 22nd, cutting the
Incineration Corps off their supply line and forcing them to concentrate their forces at Julheim for one final dual assault.
Despite their success in this final assault, Julheim would ultimately be recaptured on March 23rd 2185. However, the Automatons had still managed to completely conquer the Ymir Sector and 5 other planets, while the Penrose Energy Siphon would have to remain stationed since not enough E-710 had been harvested, ultimately making Operation Tormenta de Fuego a disastrous defeat.
