The Anti-Air Emplacement is an 
Automaton tactical asset that disables the use of all Eagle Stratagems in an area around the outpost. The location can be easily determined from their tracers as they engage Eagle-1 when it is called to deliver a strike nearby. Although Eagle strikes can still be used in other areas of the map it is best to deal with these emplacements as soon as possible to regain the use of the valuable Stratagems.
Anti-Air Emplacements will have between two and four turrets. The emplacements can be near objectives and outposts, thus becoming a nuisance when engaging nearby structures and hostiles. Like outposts, it is also possible to find ammo and samples at these locations.
Oddly enough, disabled Eagle Stratagem slots are displayed in the same manner as if they were affected by a Stratagem Jammer.
Tactics[]
- The AA emplacement prevents Eagle stratagems from being used within a 150m radius of itself.
- AA emplacements will engage Eagle-1 when called from outside this radius, and may even damage Eagle-1 if her flight path strays too close. This will immediately place that user's Eagle stratagems on cooldown while repairs are performed back at the Super Destroyer.
- AA emplacement locations can be pinpointed by following the large stream of tracers it shoots into the sky.
- AA emplacements cannot protect themselves from
Helldivers. Clear out any defenders and Automaton Fabricators to stop more units from spawning. - The rear of each Anti-Air Emplacement has a pair of vents similar to the Mortar Emplacement, which are NOT weak points. Shooting the Anti-Air Gun's main chassis anywhere with Heavy Armor Piercing rounds, such as from the APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle, or using explosives will destroy them.
- Orbital Strikes, SEAF Artillery, and explosive-yielding turrets are the only way to engage them from a distance as Eagle Stratagems are disabled.
- Anti-Tank Support Weapons such as the EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank, FAF-14 Spear, GR-8 Recoilless Rifle, LAS-99 Quasar Cannon and MLS-4X Commando can destroy the Anti-Air Emplacements from afar.
- The NUX-223 Hellbomb is provided should a Helldiver lack sufficient options or patience.
Trivia[]
- Despite being easier to shoot down with anti-aircraft weaponry due to their speed and size, Pelican dropships are not restricted from being used near AA emplacements. Quite humorously, one can potentially destroy an AA site by calling a stratagem dropped via Pelican and have their autocannons take shots at the AA guns that will ignore the aircraft entirely.
