The Alpha Commander is a heavily-armored and supercharged variant of the Brood Commander.

Tactics[]

Alpha Commanders behave almost identically to Brood commanders, with the main difference being their larger health pool of 1000, as compared to the 800 of Brood Commanders. They have identical armor ratings.
Alpha commanders are fast and highly aggressive, and typically dispatch Helldivers in less than a second if allowed to get close. It is heavily advised to kill them on sight. Failing that, maiming their front legs also work.
Much like Brood Commanders, Alphas will enter a berserk state upon being beheaded. Further gunning them down or dodging to the side is advised during this event, as they will expire shortly, but their ferocity is not dampened in the slightest.
The Alpha Commander will also spawn groups of approximately 3 "Alpha Warriors", bugs that are identical to Warriors, other than being faster than their normal counterparts and having the color palette of Alpha Commanders.
