Alderidge Cove is one of the five planets that reside within the Guang Sector.

Alderidge Cove was, much like all other planets in the Guang Sector, a peaceful planet colony of Super Earth in the Southern Galactic Rim. Having been colonized during the Great Democratization, its history didn't feature any moments worthy of note following its initial settlement, as its economy remained stable and prosperous and allowed its citizens to construct urbanized settlements across its surface.

However, there are those who hate such a humble, mundane and peaceful existence and would do anything to cast it into the abyss. The 
Illuminate, an ancient enemy of Super Earth from the First Galactic War, had returned and were seeking to destroy Super Earth itself by siphoning Dark Energy from Alderidge Cove, and other planet colonies across the Southern sectors of the galaxy, into the Meridian Singularity so that they could move it towards Super Earth and have its gravitational pull tear it apart.
Obviously, the mighty 
Helldivers would not stand by this. In a valiant 3 day campaign, they dealt the Illuminate several crucial defeats at Rasp, Mog, Keid, Oasis and Alamak-VII. Given how the Penrose Energy Siphon had severely slowed down the Singularity, all it took was one more victory over the nefarious squids and the Singularity's energy would be insufficient to reach Super Earth, its projected stopping point being estimated somewhere before Super Earth.

With the safety of Managed Democracy's very heart at stake, the Helldivers rushed towards Alderidge Cove with the intent of stopping the Illuminate's Dark Energy harvest as fast as they could, which would guarantee the safety of Super Earth. On March 29th, 2185, the Illuminate invasion fleet at Alderidge Cove was met head on by the main fleet of the Helldiver Corps and the 2 forces immediately engaged each other in brutal combat.
For multiple hours, the Helldiver Corps struggled against the Illuminate, barely matching the reinforced alien invaders. But as the Helldivers relocated the 
Democracy Space Station onto Alderidge Cove, the battle would slowly but noticeably lean in favor of the Helldivers. They valiantly held the line in their barricades with the aid of their newly issued E/GL-21 Grenadier Battlements and, around 7 hours after the initial landfall, the Illuminate invasion fleet would be completely destroyed.
The 
Centre of Science would immediately update the Helldivers with great news: Super Earth could no longer be reached by the Singularity due to the extreme de-energizing. Alderidge Cove was saved, and with it the heart of Managed Democracy itself.

- October 27th, 2185: FTL Line to Bellatrix is re-established, plus the creation of new FTL lines to Botein and Calypso.
